@MetalKing1417 to lower its "special" stat, then it becomes more vulnerable to special attacks. You must (or at least it's a good strategy) do the same against mewtwo in round 1. Not in round 2, because then, he has the move amnesia which allows it to greatly increase its "special" stat.

@volugthebeast I get that, but he also put it to sleep and Jynx was almost at full health. The battle would have been over sooner had he used Body Slam or even Ice Punch which would have done more damage because of Jynx's duo types. Psychic only did that much damage because of the type match up against Rhydon. Psychic was also one of the cheap moves in PS1 along with Slash that did outrageous amounts of damage.

You go on to fight mewtwo and if you win that fight, you unlock mewtwo and mew in rental mode. But you can't use mew in GLC mode. Only in stadium and versus mode. Hope I helped.

If Mew killed Jynx with a few Tri Attacks, why didn't it use it against Exeggutor? My guess is that Mew was too preoccupied with lowering Exeggutor's Special.

Also, I love how Tauros came very close to killing you, but got screwed over by Sleep Powder.
