I was there back in 1997. One of the most magical places in the whole world (and I've traveled a lot). Beyond the salar, which is at a very high altitude, is a landscape of surreal beauty, Dali rocks, moonscapes, hot springs, volcanoes and different colored lakes, from pink to aqua to white, populated by andean flamingoes. GO THERE if you ever get a chance. SIMPLY BREATHTAKING, MAGICAL, and a SPIRITUAL experience that will last a lifetime....
