That tune/melody is not a complicated one or complex in any way.It just coincidence that these two songs happens to sound similar. Plus, the songs are only similar in the opening bits, the rest of the song is completely different. There are so many artists out there writing songs and so many songs being produced in the world, coincidences in melodies and tune is bound to happen. But the Tokio Hotel beat sound darker and more stronger so I'd go with Tokio Hotel's.

Honestly, as soon as I heard Don't Jump I thought 'mmm...where did I hear this before?'. I have nothing against Tokio Hotel, and I want to believe that they aren't trying to steal TR's music on purpose. But I'm a huge fan of The Rasmus since 2004 and they've been around since 1994, which is 15 years of career, and I think, no offense to TH's fans, that they are way more talented than Tokio Hotel. Just my honest opinion.
