@SBaranowski No, you don't need to, but in my case the hose connector dribbles a little bit under pressure. I wrap a small towel around it where it connects to the washer so it doesn't leave a puddle on the floor. I've read that this is a common problem because the hose connectors are on the cheap side. YMMV.
@gclaudia1 I'm glad I bought this washer. It's small but works well. It's nice not having to spend time money at the laundromat when I need to just wash a couple of items.
Can you get longer tubs so you don't have to move the unit?
