@ryanlovestosnowboard Maybe they are soon to be updated? Because these crew cab rescues are a new thing and next time my Dept. gets new rescues, we are getting these, but right now we have the normal ones like you have.
People talking crap about the size of this rescue don't understand that most South Florida fire/rescue workers are cross trained , and all carry bunker gear on the rig. Not to mention many rescue crews are 3-4 people.
@fcfdladder22 It's that big because fire department ambulances are usually that big. They carry extra gear for an ALS call. (eg: chest pains, injury to the head...) The units from the hospital are smaller & carry less. Perfect for BLS calls. (eg: a call such as a broken leg or arm...)
@jazzbutterworth sorry about the dick comment i left im not used to seeing the cab tht extended on a medic unit but i understand the purpose of the extra space where i live we run freightliners but just two door crew cab not four
is that an eq2b siren? cause it sounds like it

The rig looks like something off of Transformers. Honestly though, that's one of the sickest rigs I've ever seen.
engine173351 4 months ago 7
@engine173351 Well the paint scheme on the rig has changed. As of 10/1/2011 Deerfield Beach merged with Broward County Sheriff Fire Rescue.

Screw not using the siren. If you call 911 at 3 am on a Monday morning for a tummy ache I am running the siren up to your front porch.

Why is the Ambulance so big ?
In Europe the Ambulances are smaller and faster.....
Paramedic80 8 months ago
@Paramedic80 & you guys are also smarter. Smaller vehicles = less gas consumed,
jazzbutterworth 8 months ago
@Paramedic80 faster? maybe not

Why did they turn the siren off?
box15c22 1 year ago 7
@box15c22 Having a siren whaling while there is no traffic is pointless and annoying to people nearby.
HometownK 7 months ago
@HometownK Fuck the people nearby.
brendan129 5 months ago
@box15c22 No one on the road in front, no traffic to pass/clear so no need to have it one and kill your hearing

Problem with the perimeter lights is that they have to pop. They're barely noticeable, at least in the video.

very nice ambulance, like the color scheme very much!
Here in Germany ambulances that are used for beach rescue are almost the normal ones you see also in the roads in the city

OK, never have I seen an ambulance that was that sleek and low. Nice Vid!
