when i was a kid i must have had about every species of aquarium fish there was at one time or another and i can say that the ocellaris is the coolest.
Those are silver arowanas they get 30 inches long and those one r in great shape. I have a silver arow and a black arow in a 220 gall tank, w/ 2 tiger oscars and in another tank a have a peacockbass, a rockbass and 2 bullhead
i got a 4" jardini arowana and getting a 4" pbass in my 50"x15"x25"- 4ft 2" x 1ft 3" x 2ft 1" high i think its a 70-75 gallon with 1600 litters per hour or 450 gallons per hour filtration what you think?
@Hardc0reTillIDie The are cichla temensis most likely a different breed than yours or maybe mine were a bit older. Thanks for the comment they were beautiful fish.
@brownocasio do you still have any peacock bass at all if so please let me know if youd like to sell one or two thanks you can call or text me at 623 703 8290 thanks.
The DNR has a kill order on all bluegill in the overfished waters where I live. They completely overpopulated Herrick Lake aqnd Hidden Lake. I'd rather use them to feed a fish, than left on the shore.
I have bream and bluegill with my bass, my fish dont eat anything except minnows and fish food i throw in the tank, ive never had a fish eaten that i did not have intentions for and my bream are definitely edible if my bass would try but they live in harmony
you de-finned the bluegill? weird, makes since cause those barbs flare up in the bass' throat but we just thow little pumpkinseed bream in that we catch in minnow traps
you shuld have some gravel in that tank......we had a 100 gallon tank with a big rock like urs in it with no gravel.....that along with 3 huge oscar fish......one night i heard a water fall sound wen t in the living room which got flooded pretty much....we guessed the fish got hella aggressive and made the rock crack the tank...amkin it break ofcourse
How long did it take for your, Peacock's to grow to that size, i am thinking of purchasing to baby's, and want know there growing rate....please reply...Thank you
if you are asking a question then the knife fish was only at the begginning cus of the "hog" fish...the tank is bigger than you see if you watch the knife fish at the begginning swim away.
dude go to pretty much any specialty fish store.. no regular pet stores have them i got mine at an aquarium store they were $30. but the guy gave him to me for $20 because the eye was messed up
Love the tank and the fish in there. I love keeping monster fish also. That's a huge knifefish bro! And the peacock bass and arowanas look beautiful. How long does it take for peacock bass to get that big? I only have 5 that are 3" right now.

LOL...well the bluegill were in that yellow pitcher and lasted all of about 3 seconds from what I could tell. I fed the bluegill to the peacock bass. De-finned is cutting of the needle like fins before feeding. Sorry the title is kind of misleading I will change it.
