Thanks so much man this was really cool to watch i play the drums which i have benn for a little over a year now but i have got a guitar as a side instrument but im stuck with it so i am really looking forward to see this channel grow keep up the good work \m/><\m/
Sounds amazing! Used to play keyboard for a neoclassical metal band and we covered a few Iron Maiden songs! Wow, really neat learning it from the other side of the spectrum (guitar). :D
Hi bro .. Do you have the MBOX driver that appears behind you? and what program you use to record with the MBOX? I have an equal but lost the drivers.. and now I have no way to record my music.. :( Sorry about the writing, I don't speak English!!
@dijogule You should be able to download them from Avid/Digidesign. I haven't used the Mbox for a few years and I'm not sure what I have for drivers but let me know If u cant find them from the Avid web site and I will look and see what I have. No problem about the English. If you speak two languages that's one more than me ;)
HI Mike , nice lesson , i like your Lado guitar , what is the year issue ? probably a long time ago... I like these Lado , got one my self & very happy with..
@retroclipps And I have a 1981 Solo 1 as well. It is worth about $5000.00 dollars based on Joe Lado's assessment. I would think the Lado in this video is worth $8000.00
Remember this being one of the first Iron Maiden songs I learned on guitar - by ear. That was a few weeks after picking up a guitar around 8 years ago (I'm 24). \m/_(>.<)_\m/
@MetalRiffAcademy hey, I wanted some tips on strings that I can bend easily because the strings I have are tight and it blisters my fingers really bad. And if you know some safety tips about fingers could you please tell me. Thank you, Rock On!
I've been only playing a year so i'm not very experience but i cannot believe how easy this riff is! Damn sexy sounding... Makes it easier to learn when you're watching a good teacher :)
Dood, Than you so much for this video. The tabs I found on the interwebs just wasnt enough, but thanks to your video im almost at speed now! rock on man.
i can play the song right... butt the problem is the solo..i just want to play Adrian's solo.. do you have a video to play that part..??? by the way good video.
@MrKookoodude It's my Dream to go there. Joe Koviac(Lado) is semi-retired & they keep announcing the schools closing. But I think he loves it too much and just lives to pass the knowledge on to the next generation so they keep changing & announcing another run. I think he's in his 70's & no one can do anything forever. I think they plan to continue the school till 2012 but who knows? It seems like he'll teach it as long as he can. He's a total genius and my hero. \m/ Guitar is all stock BTW. \m/
@ShredGuitarAcademy ah not too bad, busy with college, still rockin out the tunes though :P saw uh cancert Bats and DevilDriver a few weeks ago....great show
@ShredGuitarAcademy not too bad, been busy with college, still jammin out the tunes though :P....i aso recently saw Cancer Bats and DevilDriver a few weeks ago
Good lord. Awesome tutorial but is that a b.c. rich? And what does the extra nobs do? 2 coil's 1 3 way toggel. 2 tone 2 volume but what about the other two switches?
@zzzhuh It's a Lado Falcon. Similar to and from the same time period as early BC Riches & built to the same type of hand made quality. However I think Lado quality has stayed at that level whereas I can't say the same about most newer BC Riches. Appropriate for this video as Adrian Smiths main guitar and Steve Harris's main bass in the 80's were both Lados. Not anymore though as Lado is a small Canadian company & I'm sure can't afford the major bucks that Fender is probably paying them now. \m/
@zzzhuh There was a bit of a trend going on with boutique builders like Lado & BC Rich in the late 70's early 80's I think. Exotic woods. Multiple laminates of hardwood. Neck through construction & Crazy electronics. Not even sure if I know what half the stuff does. Volume & tone of course. Coil taps. Battery powered boost switch. A switch that alters the tonal options - best way I can describe it's like going through a wah set at a particular position @CiviC092 No kill switch unfortunately \m/
@ShredGuitarAcademy Oh so it kind of has a sweet switch. That's the only thing that comes to mind when you bring up the wah set position. But cool thanks man it's a nice looking guitar and produces a great sound. Im big on b.c. rich bich's so that's why i asked about it being a b.c. rich keep thrashin man!
@zzzhuh I like BC Rich guitars too. I don't mean to sound too down on them but I have a lot of students that come in with cheap foreign made ones that seem like very poor quality. Someday I hope to add a nice vintage Mockingbird to the collection. I've seen a few from the early '80s with the exact same electronics and bridge as my Lado. \m/
