Hahaha, you're fast, but you a real speed test is based on an average of words per minute, not in a span of 20 seconds. You need to type a whole paragraph for 3 minutes or so and average the wpm out to get an accurate wpm rate.

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought facts were for Encyclopedias. I can honestly say that I've never used Swype, I'm an iPhone user for life, it's just that in my own personal opinion swyping makes you look stupid and it's a bit unnatural to use (most people type with two fingers). Why so defensive?

@skyking166 Not really, I half agree with you, I don't think only using one finger is a pro (maybe it is if you only have 1 finger but then how would you hold it anyway?) You have to use two hands anyway (don't know of anyone that holds the phone and can swype with only one hand) and if you're using two hands anyway where's the advantage? Also, wouldn't you also agree that the iphone CAN be used with one finger and one hand rather than two?

i am rather grateful to have a keyboard that makes no mistakes, is quick and only requires one hand + thumb with minimal effort.

sure iphoners might be able to use only one hand+thumb too but you still have to press the space button lol :-)

it's not that unnatural to not use two fingers! there are many multi-taskers out there!!

@grgmys That's...different. However, you can't say it's "inconvenient" till you've tried it first hand (no pun intended)! I've had it on my Droid for a few months and while it takes a while to get accustomed, being that it's another way to enter text, it's very efficient!

@goatdwarf1 so you're suggesting that it's somehow easier to drag your finger over a letter than it is to see it and tap it with your finger? If it is in any way easier it's by a negligible amount. typing is tried and true, I promise you this thing will never catch on, it looks stupid and as proved by the video it's not any faster than typing, one or the other may be faster to extra fast typists but to us normal folks typing is going to be much faster than swyping.
