Correct. FYI, many early 30's block inlay L-5s were built with straight fingerboard extensions, without the 'bird's beak' finial seen on earlier and later examples. Lage's guitar is not a reissue: while attractive, they are heavily built and sound quite mediocre.
I think that it is a Gibson L5 1937 reissue. If you look at the end of the fretboard, you can see that it is square. I think the real ones have like a wave shape to that part. I think it was listed around 3500$
Julian likes "free jazz" - no? Seems he gets lost in some sort of musical ecstasy, just improvising whatever comes to mind, no ties to chord progressions, meters, nothing - just Julian and that L-5, going nuts. Watch his facial expressions: he's in a place most of us will probably never see or even imagine.
@maxmychopstix its proly a 30 or 40's but it is definitely a "snakehead" Gibson L5. A very good looking one in good shape at that. They are expensive and not alot of them around...
@BassicallyChristian I'm thinking it's older than 40s. Maybe a 1930. I'd like to know where on earth he found it and how much he had to pay for it. A 1925 model (excellent+ condition) at elderly.com is $29,000. : o
@inky960 I bumped into him at boson and he was warming up on it, he said it was a 30something..and he didnt mention price, he just smiled and chatting with me before he jumped on stage

@0362868 I think he'd be right at home with Howard Alden. I'd love to hear an acoustic duo between the both of them. That would be something.
