Great song. Ironically Goodman died not long after recording this after a long battle with leukemia. I have to admire the man for keeping a great sense of humor right up until the end.

Remember that Cubs 0-14 losing streak back in 1997? I was at a minor league game in the middle of that streak when they played this song over the PA during batting practice. Rick Dempsey was managing one of the teams and we all started singing the song, including Rick. This was a few years before his "introduction" to the Bleacher Creatures when he coached the Dodgers.
