I think I get it. From Avidya's point of view, the chest is always gold, plain and simple. From Paul's point of view, Avidya picks up a gold chest, but places a brown one. Paul leaves and later returns to find that the chest has somehow taken qualities from both perspectives and become half brown and half gold.

I'd played this game less than 40 hours, and I'd had 1 Goblin Army, found 4 Corruptions, a Jungle, found no islands, and killed the Eye of Cthulu.

I used TerrariWolrViewer or whatever, and found the dungeon, and 5 islands on my map.

@PrototypeScope That's a bit of a glitch in multiplayer when you place down golden chests. On the screen of the player who put it down, they see golden chest. The others either see a normal chest or a half-gold chest. The thing about this half-gold chest now is that it can be duplicated into more golden chests. I'm not sure how that is done, I just know cause my brother did it with his.
