  • leave it to a woman to ask a question she can get the answer to in less than 10 seconds.

  • Fuck man tell me ppl its going to start out with some ear deafening bull shit. FUCK.

  • Amazing Vid!

  • this is stupid.

  • Bill The Butcher...Is A Fucking Idol!!!!!!

  • wow this music is truly terrible

  • @MrWilliam96 Yes, I'll watch this video on mute, while playing "Waiting for a Miracle" by Leonard Cohen.

  • Ignorance is bliss.

  • More or less the same, thanks for your respect for a great film and character, but respect them with music that is both fitting and doesn't blow chunks. Now if you wanna play homage to a film like this one nothing but classics will due.

  • Generic rock......fits pefect >_>

  • last of a dying breed bill the butcher

  • 13 Irishmen disliked this.

  • @josevanreyes I disliked it because of the music, but I see what you're going for.

  • They ought to ban users who inappropriately match up stupid songs with scenes from films like this. I'd bet that if D.D. Lewis ever bothered to watch this pile of crap, he'd just laugh in a pitying fashion at you.

  • great vid but the music sucks! doesnt fit at all!!

  • bill a old relic,with a lot of hurt.

  • this movie is one of my favorite because of this character..he is the best..respect :)

  • Greaaat !!!! Thank you for this video :)

  • I DRINK YOUR MUSTACHE!

  • white cave savages inhuman scum and you talk about the mexican gangs??? wow

  • Cinematicgirl, is there a CD available by "30 Seconds to Mars"? I would like to purchase it.

  • @SVTSuzie Of course, they're a well-known band :) I'm sure you find their cds on Amazon.com

  • Hey Cinematicgirl, please tell me, who does this song. The vocals sound alot like Brian Marnell from the band "SVT", and I sense some "U2".....? Interesting. LOL, please don't make me feel behind and tell me it's from a popular album/CD....!!!!

  • Hello Suzie, I'm glad to know you like my video! :) Enjoy it anytime you want, thanks a lot! x

  • Gosh, you make Daniel out to be a rock star!!!! Wow!

  • Cinemacgirl, Thank you so much. Now I'm addicted to the song and I'm playing this video with the movie at the moment. Daniel and the song so rock!!!..

  • I LOOOVE THIS!!!! Thank you

  • @rleigh87 you're very welcome :)

  • nice movie! badzer song

  • i always found it ironic how his gang felt they were "natives"..as if they were the first america.

  • @mickeyjordan. It happens all the time. In San Fran, the earliest Chinese arrivals treated newer Chinese arrivals like shit. You can see it in many immigrant enclaves throughout the world, throughout history.

  • why not just stay home then?

  • @music: When you are an adult, and if you are faced with the responsibility of caring for a family, parents, and in-laws, and nothing around pays enough, you might understand why those Chinamen took the risk of traveling across the Pacific. You and I can learn about this pretty easily, but, at the time (we're talking 1800's), they probably didn't hear about the discrimination issues from the Internet or have any Barnes & Nobles nearby to read up on the situation.

  • what claim do we fuckin have the fuckin irish look down upon us when we claim our heritage or aqny other country for that god damn matter

  • that dont change the fact that they were there first; when history speaks of Native Americans; trust me; these guys aren't who they are talking about

  • *werent there first

  • It's all just semantics.

You don't really believe Native Americans (Indians) are truly native to that land right? They traveled here just like everyone else.

But compared to fresh off the boat immigrants, I guess they were pretty native.

  • @23mickeyjordan "natives" because they were born there moron. The others were Irish immigrants that came over on a ship.

  • @xSeedsofEvil you bother to reply to something i posted 2 months ago and im the moron? get a life

  • @23mickeyjordan Revolutionary war vets were the first Americans, as in members of the political and national body called America. As far as the land "America", well that's just a European name applied to the land. The pre-Columbian and pre-Viking tribes probably had other names for the patch of dirt.

  • good job on this vid

  • bill the butcher = Uncle Sam!

  • If Bill the Butcher were 1-real and 2-alive today, I'd want him for President haha.

  • Actually he was a real person. Read the book he didn't exist at the same time of the other characters but, no shit real person.

  • Yes I know, William Poole, but Poole only inspired the Scorsese character, as the real Poole never actually killed anyone. I'd want the fictional Bill the Butcher, not the authentic William Poole :)

  • id vote for him XD

  • @UShistoryX2 Bill poole was who the butcher was based on and i guess its supposed to be an extremley acurate representation of him.

  • @UShistoryX2 he was real

  • @UShistoryX2 Bill the Butcher was a real person

  • @UShistoryX2 There is a Bill the Butcher, thats who this character is based on, he led the "know-nothing" political movement, he was also a Bare Knuckle boxer (which in his time meant he fought for, at the very least, 20 rounds per fight) he was one tough son of a bitch according to reports. He was gunned down by a group of irish rivals though. His last words were the same in the movie "Thank god, i die a true american."

Look up "William Poole" if you want to know more about this great man

  • @UShistoryX2 But... you already have (had) many like him...

  • @UShistoryX2 You'd want a corrupt, masochistic murderer for president? You're the reason America is so fucking stupid these days...

  • @UShistoryX2 Bill the Butcher was a real person.

  • @UShistoryX2 he couldve killed bin laden himself

  • NOBODY has a bigger set than The Butcher!

  • one of my fave vids on youtube, now whenever i hear this song, im instantly reminded of the Butcher hehe

  • great vid

  • The butcher... my favorite character of all time

  • @HawleyChanna me too ... me too...the strongest character i've seen so far.

  • My father gave his life, making this country what it is. Murdered by the British with all of his men on the twenty fifth of July, anno domini, 1814. Do you think I'm going to help you befoul his legacy, by giving this country over to them, what's had no hand in the fighting for it? Why, because they come off a boat crawling with lice and begging you for soup-William Cutting AKA Bill The Butcher

  • Daniel Day Lewis simply...rocks!

  • i'm inlove with DDL! this was aweseom!!

  • My fav role of all time as well. A masterpiece, the role itself.

  • Very nice, stay in the way.

Great music and I like this butcher guy.

    5/5 for sure.
