  • I bought the CD in Chom Phra (Surin Province) at a small shop near the market place. This music is difficult to find outside of Surin, BuriRam and maybe Sisakhet Provinces. If you would like I can send you an mp3 version by email attachment. I am now in the process of uploading another video from Surin which has a few bars of another song from the same album at the beginning and end of the video. It should be ready for viewing in about 6 or 7 hours.

  • @phrakanong Thank you very much! Without your videos I may have never been able to enjoy the TRUE culture of this region. Keep up the good work!!

  • Nice Video! Can you tell me where I can get Khmer Surin song from? I've been looking for it for a while and I can't find it.

  • @shawnsoleri Another thought. PR Sound has a website at 3w prsounds dot com. It is in Thai. You can probably get their phone number from there also. They are located in Surin.on Nongdum Rd.

  • orkun bong very much.

i'm not khmer but can speak khmer this is my hometown.

i'm descendant kui people. baat orkun tom tom tom.

  • @Tekana99 You are most welcome Tekana99. I speak only a few phrases of Surin-Khmer picked up from visiting there many times. In a few days I will go back again and hope to be able to capture some video clips while there.

  • @Tekana99 Uploaded another video made in Surin. You will see some of your Kui relatives there with the elephants at a local "ngan buot" monk initiation ceremony. Also you will recognize Khmer being spoken in the video. The title is Elephant Dreams - Surin Province Thailand. Enjoy.

  • Another Great one, Friend!! Thank you for letting me see the world thru your videos!!

  • Nice video. Thanks for sharing.

  • Great video. Those buildings at about 0:24 look familiar. Do you remember where that's located? It looks similar to near the fork north of BKK that leads sort of NW toward Ayutthaya or NE toward Saraburi. The kids are cute. Aways interesting how folks often pose for a vidcam like they would for a still cam.

  • @NightBazaar I can only tell you for sure that this was between Bangkok and Saraburi but I think it was much closer to Bangkok. I will go through the unused clips and see if I can get a better fix on the relative location and get back with you on that.

  • @phrakanong Were you on the Phahon Yothin Expressway?

  • @NightBazaar No, we bypass that. There is a new road completed a year-plus ago that leads from our area out of Bangkok and joins the main road to Saraburi far north of that expressway. The first few clips of the video show us getting on to that new road.

  • @phrakanong Oh, okay.I guess I haven't seen that road before. The main road to Saraburi is Hwy 1 though, right? Just trying to get my bearings.

  • @NightBazaar Yes, that is correct Hwy 1 to Saraburi and then Hwy 2 eastward to Khroat and then north through central Isaan to Nong Khai. We leave Hwy 2 near Pimai when traveling to Surin.

  • @NightBazaar Yes, you are quite correct. This is at the junction where one road leads off to the northwest towards Ayutthaya from the road we were traveling on heading for Saraburi. I'll send you a photo by email.

  • @phrakanong Cool! I thought I recognized it, but wasn't really sure. Those buildings really stand out there. It's not in BKK, but when we get to that point we sort of think of it as being the farthest outskirts of north BKK along that expressway.

  • คุณจะเที่ยวจังหวัดเลยบ้างไหมครับ

  • @alvinkhoo80 I'd like to very much but don't expect to have a chance to go there in the near future. I've never been to Loei Province. Are you from there?
