Check out "Thriller" in its first season. They have the Revue logo sans the MCA bug, too, followed by the card saying "Thriller, Produced in Association With The NBC Television Network. You can watch it on Me-TV on Sunday nights!
They should also release their debut jingle single "the MCA-TV (the exclusive distributor) song. Another amazing brass and percussion orchestra should also get their music heard on a local classical music station. Every single melody and harmony n that tune will really lift your spirits. Do N.E. body hear the difference in both versions? You're right, there was no echo. Didn't they later do a little more studio mixing in that jingle? Where is the orchestra leader?
As far as I know, the color verison came in 1962 but only two shows; The Virginian and Laramie (which debuted 1962 NBC Peacock). Both debuted on NBC which now owns all Revue/Universal catalog.
Actually, Revueguy isn't really too far off in his "sing-along" concept.
Many composers used to write their instrumentals as vocals first, taking in consideration the name of the company, which is why they're referred to as "signature tunes".
In this case, if this jingle had lyrics, it would sing out like this:
"Shamley Productions" made Alfred Hitchcock a VERY rich man; when he finally sold his company to MCA in the mid-'60s (around the time his series ended), he became one of the biggest shareholders of MCA stock, along with Jack Benny's piece of the action.
Has anyone seen the one of these shown for Spanish speaking countries? Talk about "scare factor"......It came in 3 sections, about 10 seconds each: one for Revue, one for MCA-TV & then the Universal globe with some print on it (the accompanying sound was "The Virginian" commercial bumper + the 1962-64 Universal ending. No I don't drink.

I think this version sounds better. You just still need the "scratches" to give it that vintage effect. LOL

It doesn't sound the same as MCATV in 0:07. Where's the Shamley "Person Drawing" logo with the drawing of a person at the side?

Even if it doesn't flow off all too smooth,
all the syllables match!

@DLCOrganization After some careful imagination it would roll out pretty good.

Something else is missing. The MCA Globe Bug on the byline. And plus, I remember seeing this logo in December 2006 on independent television.
ShaDeed329 3 years ago
I sent you a message. The MCA globe bug didn't occured til 1961.
MooseShady 3 years ago
The MCA globe bug did exist on certain Revue shows, even in the prior season of 1959-60, like Wagon Train, Laramie, The Deputy, Bachelor Father, etc.
