Here's what I don't understand about UPS. On days when I'm at home and I am NOT expecting a delivery, I see a UPS truck drive past my house 4 or 5 times. On days when I am expecting a UPS package, there's no UPS truck until late in the day. Also, UPS used to just drop off the package and leave. Then the drivers started knocking on the door to hand the package to me. Now they ask me to sign for every package. Is this the UPS policy or am I just getting a series of UPS jerk-offs by chance? Every driver is different but I know when I have 200 stops to make in one day, I don't want to waste time greeting every customer (no offense). When I have less deliveries to make in a day and I'm making good time, I'll stop and say "hello" to the customer. Sometimes there are delays due to weather or the house numbers change, there's always a reason for it. As for signing, that's not UPS that's whoever you ordered from, they require it.

I'm referring to being asked to sign every time a package is delivered, whether one is required or not. I see them drop off packages to other people on my street and they just leave the parcel at the door and run back to the truck. But i can give you a tip , if your package invoice say`s * gift * and the value of the goods are under $35,- then no charges at all! so roll the barbie dices and take your lollypop and grow up...

It is not UPS that holds the package it is CUSTOMS and UPS will not pay your import tax. The same thing would have happen on importing via regular mail. Do not blame others for your mistakes, the drivers have hundreds of delivery's to make and cannot babysit you. Grow up and learn the way it works once you are in the real world

Someone probably misloaded your package, which means putting it in the wrong truck, which in general delays the delivery. If you knew what the employees actually go through you wouldnt be so aggravated. Have some sympathy on these poor workers. UPS does blow, your life is easy compared to theirs.
Wow get over it. Service can be sketchy across the board of shipping companies. I had a problem with Purolator, an overdue delivery and thought it was lost, and I couldn't believe how nice they were in helping me out when I called the customer service dept. Eventually my delivery was found and problem solved, even a follow up call to apologize once more.

1st, EVERYONE pays custom charges for deliveries from outside your country. It is the LAW. 2nd, Just because you payed a certain price doesn't mean YOU decide the number of days it should take!. 3rd, the driver does not have time to keep track of every single customers landlord names and phone numbers and chase them around via phone. It will delay his WHOLE delivery route! 4th: If you want your package STAY HOME on the FIRST delivery attempt. 5th NEXT time: READ UP about how it works first!!!!!

I received a shipment ll the way from China through the (Regular Canada Post)
I got it way cheaper and faster than the shipment I got through (UPS from the States near by)
if you would like to sue them too, let me know

The shipper sent the package with ONLY THE NAME ON PKG CAN ACCEPT DELIVERY. I am a driver and will tell you the DRIVER and UPS had no liability.

YOU CANNOT HAVE SOMEONE SIGN FOR THE PACKAGE OTHER THAN YOU. THAT IS THE SHIPPER NOT UPS NOR THE DRIVERS FAULT.
It's a package from CA and that $30 customs basically goes to CA, not the US.
Call the SHIPPER if you have a problem with the package, NOT UPS. The SHIPPER is responsible for the legwork, not you. You are obviously not experienced nor intelligent enough to do the leg work right now.

there are authority laws and that means tax and duties, duties are only by packages above 150 eur. (netherlands). Then you only pay tax. So alice in wonderland that are the rules.
But i can give you a tip , if your package invoice say`s * gift * and the value of the goods are under $35,- then no charges at all! so roll the barbie dices and take your lollypop and grow up...

It is not UPS that holds the package it is CUSTOMS and UPS will not pay your import tax. The same thing would have happen on importing via regular mail. Do not blame others for your mistakes, the drivers have hundreds of delivery's to make and cannot babysit you. Grow up and learn the way it works once you are in the real world

If you are so smart you should apply for a corporate position and solve UPS "problems". Here in the United States, UPS can calculate with 99% accuracy when they will deliver a package. Someone probably misloaded your package, which means putting it in the wrong truck, which in general delays the delivery. If you knew what the employees actually go through you wouldnt be so aggravated. Have some sympathy on these poor workers. UPS does blow, your life is easy compared to theirs.

Wow get over it. Service can be sketchy across the board of shipping companies. I had a problem with Purolator, an overdue delivery and thought it was lost, and I couldn't believe how nice they were in helping me out when I called the customer service dept. Eventually my delivery was found and problem solved, even a follow up call to apologize once more.
You want a package delivered on time? My package will always deliver on time again and again ;)
