@julesgladiator how can you even say its not hard at all? yeah his songs might not be the most complex but id love to see you come up with a melody like that on your own. no matter the amount of time you put in i promise it wouldnt be comparable to this. your probably just some untalented dickhead
Why does the radio have to have so much crappy music????
im 15 and i hate whats on the radio.. i listen to some stuff like the fray. one republic. the script. etc. but all that other "country" pop country.. its all getting old.. some of today's country singers are good.. but it to is slowly going down the crapper
He is a blessed talent. Humns don't learn to play like that - they're born with the gift. They then allow the gift to be passed through themselves to others. Thank only God and these gentle persons for putting in the time and hard work to allow these blessings be heard. Thank YouTube for hosting these wonderful musicians.
@julesgladiator true musicality lies in being able to play fast and complex pieces (which we have seen with his other songs) but then also being able to realize that the basis of music is melody and emotion and then bringing that out of your instrument. This piece is absolutely beautiful, i dont care how complex it is.
These kind of videos/talent has got to be the single greatest advantage of a system like YouTube. Thankyou Candyrat, and thankyou Trevor...all the very best in continued success!
@DDFJ1230 His first CD that I know of had nature sounds in the background. This was a long time ago so its great to see that he is getting some recognition for his talent.
I fucking love this song. Seriously, I go into an absurd amount of detail about all the things this song achieves and how the composition works emotionally and musically and all that other shit, but I don't have to or want to. I believe simply saying, "This song is fucking awesome" is enough.
All my friends listen to rap/rock music.. Which I'm cool with and will listen to it but why cant other teenagers like me understand what real music is? I mean it's really sad that stuff like this isn't on the radio. I don't mind listening to secular music and all. But more people need to hear music like this because real music like this is getting harder and harder to find.
Any one of Gordon Hall's songs... I want played at my funeral. I just think that his music would make my loved ones feel that I've lead a good life and will comfortably rest in peace.
When I first heard this one live I knew it would jump right to the top of my favorite TGH songs > glad to see the video live up to the live performance. Congrats Trevor!

@2minstral Why not also add to that site his piece entitled: That Old Familiar Pain? The video in on the side and it would fit the website you are referring to.
what is that pencil box attached to your beautiful sounding guitar ? Actually I already may know what it does but what is it called ? Sorry, one more question... Is it standard tuning buddy ?

@h8rsteve Fuck that lol, I have no faith in Skyrim. But I think this kind of stuff might fit in a calm village setting in Western RPGs or even JRPGs as well. My point is that CandyRat should be much bigger than what they are.
I forgot to breathe when i watched this, until i felt dizzy.. Now i gotta go get my guitar, and get a little better. Thanks for this wonderful and inspiring piece of music. It sounds like something out of my own mind. I just can´t express the ideas, as well as you can. Fav´d
There is a time for driving music & a time for reflective music. We need both. Music that captures melody & rhythm to set a mood, bring relaxation, help one process experiences in life and find inspiration is needed. This song does just that as does his "That Old Familiar Pain" song. Listen to Kalimbatar if you want something more intense. Appreciate the beauty of the song and mood it captures. It you want complexity and incredible skill level you should hear "Cerebral" on the CD.
i dont get why people are bashing this... if you are looking for a harder song ... search a different genre. but if you are looking for a calming song - here it is :)
@andthentherewasham Oh like that, this is still really awesome. I actually think it takes alota balls to even think of composing something as beautiful as this, let alone play it so perfectly whilst maintaing a cool vibe. idono ;D

I love this one Trevor! This tune shows off your straight guitar skill (which you have plenty of). I love your use of kalimba but this tune really shows of your composition skill. It reminded me a lot of Antione Dufour...
