  • dooo dooo dunder head

  • I stop facing uphill easier. I think its cause i can get my body waaaaay lower to the snow by putting my hands down and dragging them if i have to.

  • For me i think the toe-side stop is easier... i just can't keep my balance on my heel-side

  • I find the toe-side stop so much easier than the heel side stop! No clue why, but I just can't get the hang of heel-side!

  • I agree, he isn't the best with words that's for sure. Learn a bunch more snowboarding tips at my snowboard spot . com.

  • i hate the sound snowboards makes when it digs into snow...so....brutal sounding...

  • @AntoBoesi Really? i love it, it gets me pumped!!!

  • @AntoBoesi Hence where we get the term "shredding"

  • I learned how to stop facing uphill before I learned how to stop facing downhill.

  • I've only snowboarded twice and I loved it but when I tried to stop like that I just kept spinning around and around but at least I didn't fall when doing that right.

  • this kind of a stop is way easier to me.

i learned this one before i learned the other one.

  • My instructor say's when going down toe side u gotta bend down with knees and and ankles, but i can't get outta the habit of pushing down on my toes and it strains after a bit. I thought maybe it was the rental boots, cos they are not that tight round the legs so I'm finding it impossible to apply pressure with my lower legs, any advice?

  • u wanna lean towards the mountain with ur legs bent. why are u pushing on your toes to stop tho? after you're facing up the mountain, just lean forward so the board is picking up snow

  • please leave the instruction to CERTIFIED AASI instructors please. You DON'T turn by pushing your back foot around, your reference alignments are terrible, you are throwing your upper body EVERYWHERE, which is how you are initiating this so called turn. I see people like you teaching their wife on their honeymoon how to ride... i also see them screaming and getting their marriage annulled on that same vacation. Take a lesson from a certified pro please.

  • lol at that comment

  • @DragonUSMC maybe the funniest comment I've ever read

  • it shouldnt be funny... look up the hill when stopping... LMAO. This is what you get from Midwest / East Coast instruction.

  • lol yeah no kidding... wish the guy would say his name so i could look up his certs... forget reference alingnments, angulation vs. inclanation. lmao this is entertaining.

  • @DragonUSMC

His name is on the side of the video, just press more info...

  • helpful ty

  • just do the Michael Jackson toe stand

  • i find heel side is harder for me

  • Very good tip. But he needed to emphasize how important it is to keep your heel side up when doing this. Falling backward is very painful and fast when the heel edge digs in. Just keep on your toes. :)

  • @kevinpmil Very important. I justgot a concussion last week from letting my heel side catch the snow......not fun

  • I started yesterday with snowboard, never took a lesson, just trial and error, just a couple of bruises here and there :P

I think the video is useful regardless that further explanations of other movements are provided in other videos.

    Thanks

  • How is this useless?
