It is very important that people do not feel left out. It is a well known concept that better employee "buy-in" will result if they feel that a level playing field exists and that they have a say in the strategy and design phase so that they know that their suggestions were considered.
Good presentation.. Not sure about the 'to make sure no one feels left out' as a reason to do same tasks at same commencement point.
Probably a few more practical reaons such as synergy, resources are available, standardisation etc. But maybe stopping people from feeling left out is one.. :)
