Im also a patient of pancreatitis.wich I just had got my gallbladder removed 5 months ago.and since 2001 I had a few major back surgeries.instead of all other problems I had and the pain this pancreatitis is the worst one.i wish I could find some good advice and diet for it.

P.s. my endo/exocrine system seems to be failing resulting in hypothyroidism(treatment NOT working), crumbling bones, joint pain,hypogonadism and oh lets not forget the huge lump in my chest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!

I've reduced the opiates to a level that hopefully makes someone listen. The pain is excruciating. No life for anyone!

@modzilla732k i found this statement looking for info on pancreatitis. my husband is in the hopital just diagnosed with this. i would like to know, does the pain ever go away? i know its irreversible damage, but will the pain go away?

@guerreramexica It's been 10 yrs now,(thay said I wouldn't last 5 tho!), but honestly, some days are better than others, and some very bad, but I've not had a pain free day in that time.

I'm sorry if it's not what you wanted to hear.My apologies.

Medicine is incredible though, all they could do in ITU was put me into a drug induced coma,now they can perform full transplants? So it's not a stuation without hope.

I hpe your husband has an easier ride, I know some people that are well now after it.

@paigeydaisey There is a chronic pancreatitis support group I belong to that is Great!!! It's on facebook just put in chronic pancreatitis support in the search and you will find it!!! It's sooo helpful! Good Luck!!! I' now pancreas free imagin that! sadly Im still in pain though. Go figure.

and meat? tuna? tofu? talk about bringing on a pancreatic attack! eat rice, greens, and fruits. oh dear god, no beef especially --- lean or not.
