You are right my sums was wrong. However the budget to producing the Sukhoi PAK FA is approved since February 1, 2009 by Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev and the Federation Council of Russia we just have to sit and wait. Yesterday Medvedev also mentioned another 5th generation project the Sukhoi HAL FGFA but that one is supposed be 90% funded by India. 250 units for 2017 or 2020 at the same price of the Sukhoi PAK FA. I guess it's the same Sukhoi PAK FA but two seats and forward swept wing.

Facts the Eurofighter is not fifth generation and is the standard of delta wing fighter as 1956 US F-106 or 1959 MiG-21. No modern fighter in Russia or American use such obsolete delta wing design. Su-27SM, Su-30, Su-33, Su-34, Su-35, Sukhoi PAK FA, Sukhoi HAL FGFA, F-15, F-22, F-35 are air superiority fighter designs not old delta wing designs. The Mikoyan Project 1.44 helped us to understand the delta wing rejected most of the fifth generation elements.

We want in that time the Delta wing because is cheaper and easier to develop. But at last the program cost $100 billion trying to solve the delta design problems as use thrust vectoring.

Russia does not have military superiority.

This plane hasn't even started TESTING phase yet. That's the prototype which has yet to be unveiled.

You know when F-22 prototype flew? 20 freaking years ago.

By the time this plane ever goes into production (if it does) we'll be into 6th fighter or hypersonic UCAV's.

Russia is far far behind in the "arms race" I don't even see why they are trying to keep pace anymore they should worry about their country and people, not weapons.
