Firstly there are 1000's of 'gods' created by man, literally 1000's. Its all amn made mythollogy - end of story. It was invented by man over the millenia's in order to brina wash people.
You only have to study the history of religeon to see its all made up.
@opera123able Based entirely off of "logic", what you say does make the most sense. People would create things where there were none, to explain things that were unexplainable at the time they were created.
However, maybe some god happened to tell people things work this way because of God or gods? And maybe there is one God, in which many other religions broke up into the idea of a "God of this" and a "God of that" because they couldn't comprehend the idea of one with that power.

Psycologically the reason that you are not certain about the existance of a God is because an overwhelming number of people around the planet have and do continue to beleive it. Its the the old adage that if that many people beleive in somthing, it must therefore be true.
@opera123able The reason I don't know is based on how old the myth is. As I said, logically it makes sense that people made up the idea of gods to explain why things work the way they do. But nobody alive today was alive back then, so "maybe" there was a god who came to earth and told them "this happened because I (or we) did it".
Now I do tend to side with atheists because I don't like believing in things I can't see, but it doesn't mean that it can't or doesn't exist.

Before the myth the concept of gods and creationists did not exist, because the creatures on this planet were not sophisticated enough to understand such concepts.

Honestly it's about those who are the most vocal about it. Saying there is a God or there isn't a God is ignorant, and yet the ones who are vocal about being a believer are non-believer, actively say there is or is not a God.
I have no issue with those who believe or don't believe in their own homes, which is where prayer and whatnot should be to begin with. Not in a church.

How the hell does something like that even show itself? it's like saying i want proof that invisible, unshaped, all knowing, all powerful, everything exists. If everyone on the planet witnessed that (who were awake at the time), the only people who would continue not believing, are those who were crazy (or didn't see it happen).

@opera123able The reason I don't know is based on how old the myth is. As I said, logically it makes sense that people made up the idea of gods to explain why things work the way they do. But nobody alive today was alive back then, so "maybe" there was a god who came to earth and told them "this happened because I (or we) did it".
Now I do tend to side with atheists because I don't like believing in things I can't see, but it doesn't mean that it can't or doesn't exist.

That is the derived interpretation that theist-minded people have drawn. It's not authentically meant to be that way, all the stories of his birth etc are symbological. I believe an atheist or agnostic can also be a buddhist.

Secondly, I have read the Bible and other religious texts. Saying "read the book" doesn't mean that those who read it will believe everything inside it.
Saying something is true because that thing says it is true in itself, is circular logic. I hate circular logic.

@Aitamen And that's what is wrong with those people. Yes, the words "gnostic" and "agnostic" applies to humans in general when it pertains to religion, but those who claim to be gnostic, really are not. It's basically like telling someone you can count to infinity when it isn't possible.
Even though gnosticism and agnosticism are merely ideas, gnosticism isn't actually possible in religion.

Religion is about self-righteousness, which is the ultimate immorality. Therefore, your argument fails. The flood was righteous on God's part. Thanks for just pointing vaguely at whole chapters.... The predictions you mentioned are either incredibly vague or non existent in the chapters you mentioned.
1. Israel is a classic case of self-fulfilling prophecy. Jews went to Israel because it was prophesied, not the other way around.
2. "moral anarchy" was no prediction. Those are human characteristics that existed already when that was written.
3. The existence of non-believers is also a trivial prediction.
