I know many..and I mean many Iranians who once they leave Iran cannot wait to tear the hijab off their heads the minute they cross the border. The women laugh and tell me that the hijab was only great cause they didn't have to go fussing with their hair all the time. Most Iranians are very educated people who cannot do anything against their own government for the moment. It's going to take a very big revolution to give that country back to the people it belongs to.

Absolutely, we're all equal in the eyes of God... but once we replace "God" with an Imam and practice saint veneration, I believe we are no longer at the mercy of this "God," for we distorted the image of monotheism and replaced it with a form of apotheosis.
"Ya Ali!" replacing "Ya Allah!" is a clear marker of what has happened to Shia Islam, and it's a sad, sad maneuver. I curse the Khomeini administration for tainting Islam. I curse the revolution for abating monotheism.
