i agree with the majority of the comments here. While the performance was technically atrocious, its absolutely incredible that you were even able to play this song in the first place. Ive been playing drums for over 20 years (started at age 6) and i didnt start playing tool songs until highschool and early college. Keep up the great work! You are so far ahead of the curve from your peers! Keep playing this stuff and keep practicing, and by the time you are in your late teens you'll be a god!

first, what i am going to say is purely constructive...
you sound like you are trying to jam the notes into the phrases....i am NOT a drummer...however i would suggest that you learn the bare bones groove of the song before you attempt everything at once...perhaps you could just single out the the high hat, snare, and bass until you get the feel.
carey plays with a lof of polyrhythms...but he makes it sounds amazingly easy...
learn the backbone of the song, then work on your fills. good work

People may suggest you go about learning drums differently, but in my opinion, you should learn what you like, that way its always rewarding. you just are skipping ahead. It may be harder that way, but everyone else wants you to do it how they did. Thats what a bias is. Perhaps you will be better because of it.

you would have covered an easy song better, Tool is hard on drums, why cover it when you probably know it's out of your league?
Start easy, and work your way up, trust me, dont drown yourself in the hard stuff first.

@Musefan6732 beacause someone made him listen very good music ;) when i was nine i was on backstreet boys :/ and only on my teens i started listening metal because my boyfriend used to. Maybe this very talented boy has a father, uncle, older brother who listen to tool :D uh!?

This kid kicks major ass. I can't believe any asshat would be saying anything negative to him at all. He's only 9 FFS!!! His drumming is damned good. Bad Ass! He got the main rhythm down, and of course Danny Carey is hard as shit to play to. Advice: Practice your rudiments, they're boring but they'll help tremendously.
