Use an Echo Screen, then Joker's Death will be available. Be aware that many enemy spells will screw up the Slot mechanism, preventing you from casting Joker's Death.
what lvl are your guys? what equipment do they have? and what relics? i basically have everything. beat the game, unloked dragon den. and have all the time and the world. now all i need is to know what i need to beat it.
for relics, i equipped the Mages with either a Celestriad and a Ribbon, or a Celestriad and Soul Of Thamasa, or maybe A Soul Of Thamasa and a Ribbon. and for the person who's using 2 ultima weapons, use A Master's Scroll and a Genji Glove.
For Equip, for Mages, for swords, probably Lightbringer or Ragnarok swords, for shields, maybe Aegis or Paladin's Shield (that is, if you broke the curse) and ultima weapon for the ultima person.
BTW what weapons does your locke use? I just use Atma Weapon and Valiant Knife and it does nice dmg. But never seen those weapons. 2 Ragnarok or 2 Illuminas I would guess or something like that
you could have diablos esper . it gives u 50% more hp . you can have diablos before you fight kaiser dragon . put it on pause, put auto dash on , push up , and run straight through him . but you cant do the soul shrine
Well, if you want to stand a chance at beating a superboss with a moderately low level, you HAVE to do your homework. The tiers are difficult enough without a good enough setup with level 30s, especially since I'm anti-ultima and anti-quick. I'd imagine Kefka & Tiers would've been a lot more difficult if I didn't know how to abuse their vulneribilities.
The SNES algorithm told me that Ultima coming from him should do 6800-7800 to everyone. Judging from the video, the algorithm is still correct. So, most of his attacks shouldn't sting that much. The strongest elemental attack I can anticipate coming from him would be Southern Cross, and that would probably do maybe 1500 damage to someone that resist fire and has shell on, so taking elemental damage shouldn't be a fuss.
HyperDrive and Ultima, of course, are a different story altogether... though, Celes with Runic can absorb those spells. The only problem with that is healing and re-raise, but I think Gau with Vector Lythos Rage will work well enough for healing (White Wind), since with Dueling Mask he halves all elements, and comes with 255 defence and hell high magic defence too boot. Reraise will just have to be worked around somehow, but I think it'll go alright with some (not much) luck.

You know, when he was in the Moogle's cave, all alone, standing in front of the wall, well do you remember where he was standing when you recruited him? Click A where he was standing, then youll get the relic.

You could train in the Forest where the dinosaurs are, but make sure you can use Control with Relm, or you have high stats/good magic, because the dinosaurs are tough, but give massive exp points.

2 Ultima weapon. The ultima weapon doesnt hit for (your str minus his defense) but for (your hp) So his defense is ignored and since i have 9999 hp xD. The damage formula isnt exactly dmg = hp but it's somewere close.
Heh, been looking for an English vid of this battle. And I'd probably agree that the real deal is that he is immortal until he uses Barrier Change 5 times. You definitely did more than 200k damage. Nice job on keeping at everyone at full HP for most of the fight.
Thx for the praise. Indeed he seems to be only defeated when he does his barrier change 5 times and after adding the damage I did I noticed that it has to be the Barrier change theory.

It is "Genji Glove" and "Offering (Master Scroll)" that makes any character hit 8 times.

it's because of the Bahamut esper. when you level up with bahamut equiped it's hp increase by 30%
