As a Aviator and resident of NYC. They are facing south. The real sun is setting to the west. Its in the late afternoon....... I say about four o'clock (16:00zulu time/GMT). Snow on the roof top indicates winter. A lot of people couldn't be on a public observation deck early sunrise. If so much people witness this. I would be talk of the town. BC every one hear always wanna be heard. Loudly. :)

After looking it up I found that Sirius is 8.6 light years from earth, while Rigel is 900 light years from earth. So, yeah it totally seems possible that our sun could also have a companion star who's coming back for a visit.

Is the glass 'wall' in a straight line or has it got little viewing bays or maybe this is the corner with glass at perpendicular angles. We never get to see the floor-space so it's difficult to tell if the glass wall is in a single plane or not. If it's not in a single plane, then the 'second sun' is merely a reflection of the first one on a perpendicular surface (at right angles), but has the illusion for us (through the camera lens) of being glass on a single plane :P
It was a 'give-away' when the camera panned right showing us the building but not of glass wall. This would have given us much better spatial reference. She panned right, took a couple of steps towards the glass (further minimising the view, that it was a corner of the building) and shot the reflection of the sun on the glass at right angles. If there were 2 suns that morning/evening, don't you think that everyone in the viewing gallery would be pressed against the glass marvelling at 2 suns ??
Detective work complete... I think ??? That's not reflection, cause if it was then you'd be able to see the reflection of the buildings as well. And... well aside from that type of pane glass wouldn't reflect light so clearly. @madnessinisolation The buildings would be reflected if they were emitting light stronger than the primary light source - the Sun. Of course, they are not. There may be a few office lights or apartment lights on in these buildings, but it's not strong enough to be reflected in the glass which is perpendicular (on a right angle corner) on the building.

I think I have an explanation: You can see that they are surrounded by glass. The sun is reflected by a wall of glass behind them, this is again reflected by the glas in front of them. (ever been in an elevator with mirrors on both sides?). So, the left sun is exactly the same sun you see at the beginning of the video (but reflected twice) :-)

After looking it up I found that Sirius is 8.6 light years from earth, while Rigel is 900 light years from earth. So, yeah it totally seems possible that our sun could also have a companion star who's coming back for a visit.

Is the glass 'wall' in a straight line or has it got little viewing bays or maybe this is the corner with glass at perpendicular angles. We never get to see the floor-space so it's difficult to tell if the glass wall is in a single plane or not. If it's not in a single plane, then the 'second sun' is merely a reflection of the first one on a perpendicular surface (at right angles), but has the illusion for us (through the camera lens) of being glass on a single plane :P

It was a 'give-away' when the camera panned right showing us the building but not of glass wall. This would have given us much better spatial reference. She panned right, took a couple of steps towards the glass (further minimising the view, that it was a corner of the building) and shot the reflection of the sun on the glass at right angles. If there were 2 suns that morning/evening, don't you think that everyone in the viewing gallery would be pressed against the glass marvelling at 2 suns ??

That's not reflection, cause if it was then you'd be able to see the reflection of the buildings as well. And... well aside from that type of pane glass wouldn't reflect light so clearly. Get over it whether you realize or not it's bound to happen, because it has always has happened. It's just our job to ensure that the human race does not go totally extinct... think about that!

@madnessinisolation The buildings would be reflected if they were emitting light stronger than the primary light source - the Sun. Of course, they are not. There may be a few office lights or apartment lights on in these buildings, but it's not strong enough to be reflected in the glass which is perpendicular (on a right angle corner) on the building.

I think I have an explanation: You can see that they are surrounded by glass. The sun is reflected by a wall of glass behind them, this is again reflected by the glas in front of them. (ever been in an elevator with mirrors on both sides?). So, the left sun is exactly the same sun you see at the beginning of the video (but reflected twice) :-)
