sorry SGM Snyder just charging at a heavy fortress covered in machine guns is not "guts" its stupidity ... dont get me wrong they were brave men but surely they must have looked at thought "maybe this isnt such a hot idea" ....

@PhilosopherGaming you have to consider that by this time the fortress as a defense was considered obsolete due to superior air power and mobile artillery.

@KH990j yes and if they'd waited for that before the first attack that'd be all well and good but they didnt, an old fortress with machine guns is still a death trap even if it is obsolete. I just dont understand why they thought it might work :S

Thanks for putting up these videos. They are AWESOME to watch. I am watching some of them on my lunch break during work hours. Its a good way to pull my attention away during those dreadful hours and reminds us how bad it could be. We could be one of those men on the shores getting our heads blown into the dirt. Instead were here today to thank these men for what they did and their sacrifices.

aircraft can still malfunction due 2 eletornic warfare missles can b misguided n all these r expensive in billions of dollrs while battleships or battlecruiser SHELLS R cheaper N can hover greater distances if the gunners on board the ships have an overwatch tower n an artilery spotter either by drone/radioman/sniper can still turn the tide

@Badboy21thekiller that's where dummy rockets and bombs come in handy along with 20 mm rotary cannons. Plus there will most likely be more than one aircraft. In the case of electronic warfare, a drone may not help and a spotter could still help aircraft reach their target. Also on the ground, there will most likely be artillery which is still one of the most common weapons that the U.S. military uses. If the aircraft don't get them it will be ground-based artys.

@Badboy21thekiller but now we have aircraft with advanced weapons systems which makes battleships absolete expecially when it comes to price, speed, and resources.
