God created us so that He could live with us in love for all eternity. He gave us choice, so that, if we decided to love Him, He would know it was genuine. We blew it by sinning. Someone has to pay the price for this sin, but I can't, because I have my own sin to pay for. Isa came, didn't sin, and so could pay the price for me, and you.

However, the original Hebrew and Greek is basically one version, we translate it many times because we are never satisfied. I admire Paul's change in life, but is Paul a liar? In Acts 20:35 Paul told people "to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" Since Jesus never made such a biblical statement, isn't Paul guilty of deception?
If you were wrong and someone showed you a verse where Jesus said that, would that make you guilty of deception? The reference you give has Paul speaking to others, with Luke writing. Maybe he was just wrong, maybe he heard someone who had heard Jesus say it, or maybe he was referring to Jesus as the Word, as the Bible calls Him.

Man fell to into the disease we call sin. In sin we would die the death of separation from a pure and holy God. The symbolism of a lamb was innocence, and the sacrifice of it's blood covered our sins from his sight, as was the covenant between God and Man, until the them the REAL lamb came.

I admire Paul's change in life, but is Paul a liar? In Acts 20:35 Paul told people "to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" Since Jesus never made such a biblical statement, isn't Paul guilty of deception?

If you were wrong and someone showed you a verse where Jesus said that, would that make you guilty of deception? The reference you give has Paul speaking to others, with Luke writing. Maybe he was just wrong, maybe he heard someone who had heard Jesus say it, or maybe he was referring to Jesus as the Word, as the Bible calls Him.

Sorry, this and my last comment were in reference to Aguinasss's question about Paul. I know what I said is purely conjecture, but the question is kind of a harsh criticism. There was a point when Jesus drew reference to "Isaiah" but what He said wasn't in Isaiah, but (i think) Jeremiah. But back then it was common to call all the prophetic books as a whole, "Isaiah". His quotations vary in wording from Gospel to Gospel. Should we cast it all out as deceit?

Jesus made a such Biblical Statement, but not in the Gospel narrative accounts. Didn't He showed Himself to Paul many times? There are words which Jesus spoke but are not recorded by the four Gospel writers. It is not injustice if Paul heard this statement, from Inspiration.

While on earth, Jesus had a body and soul like the rest of us humans. In order for him to die, God had to allow him to. He was not God. In Genesis, it says "Let us make man in our image." Jesus stepped down from his glory w/ his Father into humanity in order to experience the same exact feelings that mankind experiences every day. He came to show us how to live for God. If he, having the same flaws as we, can live as righteously he did, we can too.

Hang on now, Jesus CLAIMED His deity through out the bible. He claimed to be fully God and fully man through not only the I AM(Yaway "Ya-veh")statements in John, but also through the title he loved, "Son of Man" in which to a Hebrew crowd, meant he was fully God and fully man.

Yeshua (Jesus) could not have been sinless, and could not have performed the miricals he did, if he wasn't fully God with in the man. He was Yeshua Yaway: God of salvation. He chose to become flesh for the very reason you described, and to atone for us all.

look, here's the deal, you have to look beyond the phyical and into the supernatural aspect. Jesus, as the spoken word from God's mouth became flesh through the virgin Mary. MEANING, His supernatural being had enhabited a human vessle just like we are spirit, and flesh, Jesus took on flesh to be like us.

Only He was MORE than spirit and flesh, because he stepped down from his deity, he was GOD and flesh. Just as our spirit is contained witnin our flesh, Jesus chose to become man and be contained within flesh as well. When our flesh dies, our spirit is released.

Yeshua's(Jesus - his greek name) sacrifice on the cross killed his flesh, which was the atonement for us all as the perfect man, for without the shedding of blood there can be no atonment for sin, but as the perfect God, he was released from his flesh and defeated Saten, took the keys of life and death so we may have a place with him in God's kingdom.
