Beautiful song and I like the "Never Rains" ending. Julio did it to sort of mess with Albert Hammond who I believe worked on the album.

I used to own one of Julio's greatest hits CDs, and the version of this song on that album has him repeating in the fade out "since it never rains in southern California" with lush female backing vocals. This refrain was taken from the classic "It Never Rains in Southern California" by Albert Hammond. I always assumed that that was the original version of "Moonlight Lady", but I think this video rendition is possibly even better since it doesn't reference any other non-Julio related songs! LOL
