Ross do you have any degree in Health and Wellness? Your "gym" is like a laboratory for Physical Sciences. For as many experimental pieces of equipment you have in there you should have your research be scientifically written. I wouldn't be surprised if you did lectures for colleges.
This kind of thing is also useful as an overhead anchor point for things like rubber band/cable exercises.
A big enough pipe will let you use it on the bottom of the door too for a lower anchor point... you can also close one in the side of the door for a mid-level point.
Good idea. But you could do the same thing with your suspension trainer. There's obviously more exercises available with it. The suspension trainer doesn't take a lot of place when traveling. Just wrap the suspension trainer through a pvc pipe, and put this pipe to the other side of the door. Same principle.
@jaynunchuck - Yes, you can certainly use PVC as an anchor for a suspension trainer. Plenty of folks don't have suspension trainers however, yet still would like to perform pull-ups on the road.
Again you amaze me with cheap but very effective way to exercise without a full gym. I was wondering how long you actually test these contraptions before making the videos for youtube?
@RushRadi0 - Thanks. Most of the videos are of equipment that I've had for a long time. I have loads of DIY contraptions that I still haven't filmed. I don't have much time for video making, but I'll try to keep up with at least one a month.

Ross, it would also be a good idea to stuff something like a towel underneath the handle side of the door.
Just amazing vids btw, keep up the good work!

@VlaudTheImpaler - You could use a small shim. Shims are easier to put underneath a door.
rossenamait 3 months ago
@VlaudTheImpaler Yeah, a shim would also be more stable, I just figured that most people would have a towel.
BTW your book NG is changing my life. I plan on posting some sort of success story on your site in the near future, all I can say is God bless you.

Any pressure on the elbows against the door bro? Thanks.

@JeddJohnson - No, they really don't even touch (deceptive looking in the video). It's a very light brush at most. It's quite easy to control.

I usually just use the door, just by opening the door then just by holding the top of the door and sliding up & down, seems heaps fine.
