dude he has a tripple kick:its 2 kick pedals hooked up to a top hat which when playing one kick you can set the rotary shaft to use the second kick at a set time while using the top hat. so that should describe it

El audio es de las canciones, pero él lo está tocando realmente como puedes ver. Y es muy preciso en tocarlo todo tal cual como en las canciones originales. El audio que oyes no es de su batería, es de la de Portnoy. Esto puede tomarse a mal pero, realmente es impresionante que VaDrum ejecute con esa precisión una pista de batería que no es de él.

There are other unknown drummers on this level, and portnoy is not the best drummers in the world by far. Though he is one of my favorites. :)

Of course he is playing with the audio (mikes drums included). He is playing everything note for note so give him that. It's really hard (i.e. impossible) to get Dream Theater songs without drums! So he's doing it this way. If he did have the songs minus the drums (by maybe hijacking the studio or kidnapping MP and stealing the stems) the video clearly shows that he would be able to play the drum parts. The trick there would be trying to mix it down to make his drums sound like MP's.
