  • slam your fucking stem

  • @timmy585 If your telling me to flip it over, I flipped it about a week after I made this vid. I agree that it looks stupid with the stem flipped up.

  • @2drsam no, take all the spacers out from under the stem, drop the stem so its directly on top of the top cap, then put the spacers on top of the stem. then cut the suck knob so you dont impale yourself.

  • carbon clinchers.....whyyyyyyy?!!?!? Too many spacers on your stem, also your stem is flipped the wrong way.

  • @bin31z I have since flipped the stem. Looks and feels a heck of a lot better now. Whats wrong with carbon clinchers? I have a set of all-rounder wheels as well.

  • @2drsam Here's the problem. Carbon wheels are relatively expensive and delicate so I use them exclusively for races. So if you are going to do that, you should have the lightest wheels possible with the best ride quality. Thus, you should have tubular carbon wheels as tubies are lighter (no inner tube) and most supple. Tubular rims are also way lighter than clinchers. So a carbon clincher is neither here or there. For training, they are too delicate and for race, they are too heavy.

  • @bin31z I understand that tubulars are lighter, but they are a big hassle to deal with. Charbon wheels are also a lot more durable than they used to be and the williams are known to be some of the most durable made; however, they are also a little heavier than other brands. My wheel set weighs in at 1624g. They are still way lighter than the Shimano RS10 that came stock. I have put almost 1000 miles on these wheels and I have had no problems with them, but to each their own guess.

  • How much are those wheels? they look great

  • @izzyyoula They were only $999. They are great and I still love them. I have a friend who is about to buy the S85s. If your looking for a good set of wheels for a good price, I say check them out. williamscycling . com BTW these are the wheels team Exergy races on.

  • @2drsam Thank your fast answer. I just bought today a specialized Allez Elite all red and white sits and white handle. Looks great and feels great, now I need those wheels. Is the price for a single or a pair of wheels, let me know, thank you.

  • @izzyyoula The price is for the pair plus about $20 for shipping.

  • A little input on the sizing thing if you can make a 52 work it'll be faster go to your local shop and ride as many bikes as they have time for until you find a size you like.

  • How tall are you? And What size is that Frame?

  • @itsAJVD The frame is a 54 and I'm 5' 10'' 5' 11'' ish. I have since had the bike fitted and the saddle is now pushed all the way forward. I have longer legs and a shorter torso so bike fitting is always fun. The shop who did my fitting told me that they wouldn't have recommended me going to a 52. My first frame was a 56 and I felt a little out of control on it because I was a little stretched out on it. Why do you ask?

  • @2drsam because I am 5'9" and I am thinking of getting a 52cm or 54cm CAAD10. I might just get a 52cm, but not so sure. what do you think?

  • @itsAJVD I would say make sure you can ride them both and then choose from there. I test road a 54 and a 56 before I made my decision. If you get a Caad10, definitely look into some upgraded wheels. They make a huge difference. Best of luck to you.

  • @itsAJVD I am also 5'9" with longer legs and a shorter torso, not sure what size 52 or 54 either? would 52 be too small?

  • @TewkesburyTriathlon 52 would be perfect. i checked. it will also give you a good position on the bike.

  • @TewkesburyTriathlon 52 seems really small for your height. I'm 5' 10" and I ride a 56 in the Caad10. If you get such a small frame, you won't be able to stretch out your upper body without a super long stem. I would say you need AT LEAST a 540 mm effective top tube.

  • I bought a CAAD 10 this week. The frame is nice but the wheels make this bike awesome.

  • @Superiorer I've got to say that a good set of wheels really do make this bike awesome. I liked these wheels so much that I bought the Williams S30s as well and I love them.

  • can you give me any advice on the best way to get hit by a car so I can get insurance money for a bike like that? seriously, I want that bike!

  • @jmatarazzo18 Well, you could start by riding around a collage campus where less than competent freshman drivers are likely to be found. If you do it long enough one of them is bound to hit you. Tell you what though, coming to on my back in a busy intersection with cars all around me is not something that I would ever care to do again... unless of course it upgraded me to a Supersix Evo. /JK

    Thanks for watching.

  • @2drsam Syracuse University has plenty of asian women driving so I think my chances are pretty good! I'm hoping not to injure myself, just my bike. (Insurance fraud? haha)

  • beautiful bike dude.......thanks for sharing

  • Hi.. are the carbon bottle cages from ebay? are these the ones from china/hongkong?

  • @twowheelsTO I really don't know where they came from. They were a gift.

  • awesome bike. i think i need to get one, only thing is I've heard aluminum gives a harsh ride and from my past experience it seems to be true :(

  • @zazenzach It will be harsher than a full carbon bike. Like I said though, for an aluminum bike it is impressively comfortable. If you have 5 or 6 grand to drop on a nice carbon bike I would. I didn't, so I got the CAAD10 and after 800 miles I still love it. The other bike I almost purchased was the Specialized Allez Evo Rival. It came to the CAAD10 though because it was cheaper and lighter than the Allez.

  • @2drsam Those are the two bikes I'm stuck between.

  • @jmatarazzo18 What two bikes? The CAAD10 and the Jamis Ventura? Hands down the CAAD 10 is better.

  • @2drsam No the CAAD10 4 and the Specialized Allez Evo. They go head to head pretty well.

  • Change the stem, man! it is sick!

  • @zero05233 I'm getting it fitted next week so I'll probably be getting a new stem.

  • who makes those carbon bottle cages?

  • @HalcyonKendo I really don't know. They were a gift from my brother-in-law's friend. They they don't have any brand names on them. I know that you can by carbon cages on nashbar and performance bike.

  • Also, is there any chance of you making a another longer video of the bike being ridden? That short vid at the end of you riding with the mountains in the background looked awesome, but not long enough! :)

  • Man, i love your bike! I'm getting the CAAD10 Ultegra in 4 weeks, however i want the same colour as you have here! I don't like the all black, i like the black frame with the white writing on it, or if i can't get this in the Ultegra, then i will go with the white, but would rather have the black and white like yours, but i think this is only available in the UK in the 2011 105 version...

  • nice! I got a caad 8 r5000.Thinking about getting some dura ace c50s for it. Did you get a good deal on the Williams?

  • @projectdurden I got the Williams Wheels for about $1018. That includes shipping. They are a sweet deal. I also have their system 30s and they are awesome too.

  • louuuuud wheeels!

  • great review and sweet setup. are you running 23mm tires on those Williams 58s?

  • @HalcyonKendo Yes they are 23mm tires and thanks.

  • this is one of the best bike reviews on utube. u have a kick ass bike man.

  • @xfightcityx Thanks man!

  • @snipesnrifles there is a bike shop in san jose that carries cannondales. i've been there before they have a pretty big selection. aslo you can go to bike station aptos. bike station aptos is a smaller shop but they have the 2011 caad10 rival on sale

  • Where did you get the rival version, I can only find the 105 and ultegra version, and I really like the srams shifting

  • @snipesnrifles I called every Cannondale dealer within an hour of my house and I found only one in my size. The shop was called Timpanogos Cyclery in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Sram equipped bikes don't seem to be as readily available. I would do the same as I did if you really wanted one. Best of luck to you!

  • @snipesnrifles Thanks man, I live in sf and pretty much all the local cycleries don't even carry cannondales and the only places that even have cannondales are rei and sports basement, but I'll keep looking.
