It's a beautiful film indeed, but I noticed in this making-of the repeated use of the phrase "at their best", which arguably ITV haven't been for some years. This is a retro-style film expounding the qualities of the ITV we remember.

In the 90s ITV made ads for iself which simply strung together many 1-3 second clips of its programmes. The stars and scenes were so recognisable and popular that nothing more needed to be said.

A promo for a TV station that fails to mention its programmes? Odd.

The reason ITV are not at there best anymore is because:

'They don't know what they are anymore'

when they find that out they may improve Grade hasn't help though...

I really, really love this. It's actually the best thing on ITV at the moment. So many things are superb about the ad, the strange unreality of the man with the pelican and the penguins, the clothes the kids are wearing (reminds me of what I wore as a child - duffel coats and parkas), the soundtrack, the direction. Well done to all involved. Could you come and direct my life in the same way?!?!

I forgot to add that the music was absolutely wonderful - I now realise that this was composed specifically for the film and there's no way I can get hold of it on a sound track - but please thank the composer.

Loved the film when I saw it at my local cinema last week before Harry Potter movie.

Recognised the locations instantly as being very local to Swansea - thanks for choosing our gorgeous scenery for your wonderful short film/advert.

Love the penguins by the way... I wonder where they came from? :)
