Paul is overrated? Plays basic bass lines? Paul's bass playing is superb. Take it from me. I am a musician myself. The writer of Yesterday, the Long and Winding Road, She's Leaving Home and countless other classics is overrated? Is this a cry for attention? Say something outrageous and hope that lots of people notice you? Nobody is saying he is a virtuoso on any instrument, but he is competent enough to produce an album on which he plays all the instruments, not a thing that many people can do.

Great song. Paul McCartney was my favourite singer-songwriter from The Beatles. John Lennon, George Harrison ran a close equal second. Ringo Starr was an excellent singer-songwriter, too, which he showed when he was out of The Beatles. Loved The Beatles. They were great days.

Gotta say, I prefer this version over any other. There's a certain punch or spirit this has over the live version, and the latter lags too much.

1. Guitar: We already knew he played, not great, but could play.

2.Bass: We already knew he played basic bass lines.

3. Piano: He dosent really play piano well. He just hits basic chords on the quarter note. no real theory or harmony.

4. Drums: A child could play the basic "4 beat" Paul plays.

Serious, he is not that great. Watch Mel torme play drums and piano to see a real talent. Paul is overrated.
