theyre a good band.. as a whole, but the guitarists individually really aren't that good, could get to the same level in probably.. under a year, with ease. but a great band :)

I would say they are both talented guitarists but they do not necessarily play to the best of their ability in their songs and work more with harmonies and their sound than technical ego-wanking guitar like some bands

its true. i dont believe that you have to play superfast solos through the whole song to prove you're good. Its a BAND, not just guitars. thats something i didnt like about the 80s and stuff, the guitar was the center of the band. I feel that bloc party mix it up and put stuff where is needed. Their stuff is pretty complicated though and i salute kele for playing the stuff he does while singing. They are my fav band for sure.
