Customers service is great I had a problem with my charging handle but other than that no problems out pf my carbon 15 I like it a world better than my dpms
My Brother bought one and after just 200 rounds down range the threads on the upper receiver gave way and the barrel nut came loose. We took the rifle to a gunsmith and when he removed the barel nut all the threads on the upper receiver just fell off. He has been waiting for a warrantee
replacement upper from Bushmaster for 3 weeks and has now been told to expect at least another 9-10 weeks before he will get a replacement. These guns are junk and so is the Bushmaster customer service!
@WRAPLOCK - I hate hearing stuff like this, although it does happen with almost every brand. There are bound to be SOME out of the HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS that are made that "slip" past quality control. I have thoroughly abused this rifle and it keeps going strong. Please let me know how it turns out with the customer service. I haven't had to call them for anything yet, but I'm just curious to know how they treat your brother. Thanks for watching. Stay safe.
does the carbon come with a A2 front? i believe thats what its called? like the typical AR front sight? because i really like the old school look. but i like how the carbon is light and chromed out on the insides and whatnot. i wanna practice with the ar so i have an edge in bootcamp. Thankyou for your time.
@Copenhagen365 - This particular rifle came with only the Picatinny rails on the top, no sights whatsoever. What you can do is either buy the model (C15) that is NOT optics ready, which will have sights on it, or get the optics ready one like this one, and add front and rear sights with a rail extension. You can add optics that can co-witness with those sights, and you won't go wrong either way. Hope this helps. Thank you for being willing to serve. Stay safe, and have a blast! Thanks for watchi
@Only1modahk thanks for the advice man. and thanks for the support. it seems like more and more americans are anti military. calling us evil baby killers and demons of the desert and murderers. support the troops, hate the war. thats how i see it.
@Copenhagen365 - I served in two branches of the military. I have done my time, and have handed the torch off to those that are younger and in better shape. If you don't have the balls to stand behind our troops...try standing in front of them. It is because of our soldiers today that I have the freedom to say this...If anyone reading this doesn't like it...I hear rent is cheap in Iraq, or even Afghanistan.
@Only1modahk thanks for your service man. and them people that are anti military, only have that opinion because of soldiers. soldiers die so they can have the freedom to bad mouth them. stand behind them or stand infront of them. im going marines. 0311 im a boots on the ground kinda guy. if that makes sense.
@108wolverine - This is an excellent choice for a rifle. It is an extremely versatile rifle. I was afraid of this rifle at first, but now I actually prefer it. It is my favorite plinker, hunter, and "business" rifle. You really cannot go wrong with this choice. Let me know what you finally decide. Thanks for watching.
i have one of these. the later model just as shown with the dust shield ect. my charging handle does not come in contact with the butt stock at all. it never did. i also still use the bushnell scope it came with and i am dead on at 100 yrds.
@TURBOPOE - I have been thinking that my buttstock/charging handle was just a fluke. I'm still not a fan of the Bushnell, but that is a matter of preference. I'll stick with the Leatherwood M-1000, or Iron sights. I'm glad that you like the weapon though. And thanks for the comments. I appreciate you watching.
After further research, on the website it is advertised that it is: standard threaded muzzle (1/2” x 28 T.p.I.) fitted with Izzy Flash Suppressor. This came from the online bushmaster catalog.
@Luv2Huvr - Yes, the flash suppressor is threaded on, however, you may have to do some checking to see if the threading will match the sound suppressor. Let me know what you find out if you don't mind.
@m98custom1212 - Let me know when you put it up. I would love to see it. Send me the link. Or you could put up a video response right here. Either way let me know. Thanks for watching.
How often do you clean this guy, if you clean it? I am nervous about getting it. It looks like a toy gun but I love the lightweight of it very much. What about the recoil, is it the same as the regular ar15?
@drbun - Personally, I clean every weapon I take to the range on the same day that I get it back. That is the only way to ensure proper functionality of the weapon. Having said that, depending on the ammunition that you use, it may not be necessary to do a complete cleaning every single time. I know people that clean their guns every few times out. This rifle is nothing to be afraid of. Since February of this year, I have fired 3,000 rounds plus, and still going strong.
I noticed the same problem with my carbon 15 i bought last saturday with the charging handle hitting the stock but i fixed that problem by mounting a ssar stock on it and i love it 30 rounds in three seconds not one problem with my rifle yet...put about 300 rounds through it yesterday and ill have another 1000 through it in a week if youd like to see the video go to fredericksburg indiana ssar15 on youtube you wont be dissapointed...let me know what you think
@hokeshot44 - I am planning on doing a review of that stock soon. I have known about it for some time now. It is a rather ingenious invention that allows you to fire a semi auto rifle in full auto simulation by way of bump firing from the shoulder. Did you have fun with it? (Stupid question, I know.) Stay safe, and thank you for watching.
@blackhawkbluedog1 - I am quickly becoming a fan of the Carbon 15. I understand how people could develop uncertainty about them, but after owning and shooting it, my concerns have vanished. Thanks for watching, and stay safe.
Thanks for the review, allot of people just say "this is my rifle" and add talk about all the crap they put on it. Lol, but I was wondering if bushmaster staked the gas key into the carrier or not and if you know they shot ping their bolts or not?
@TAMYCRON - Everything on the internals of this weapon is the exact same as the steel ones. I have fired this rifle quite a bit. I would say a total of about 5,000 rounds by now. It is still functioning reliably. I am abusing it on purpose to prove a point to friends of mine, and it just so happens that you will get the benefits of the information as well. Thank you so much for watching, and I hope you enjoy the future videos.

@Luv2Huvr - That being the case, most sound suppressors should adapt fairly easy. Thanks for the information.
