That got me quited interested in watching this anime. Though the Mothman was in the trailer, and it looked more like an actual moth.(Looked sortof like the one here, but it had moth wings and antennae) Maybe its another flying cryptid?(Ahool, Owlman, etc,)

I also heard that the Chupacabra and Bigfoot are in this somewere. I've always wondered what an anime revolving around cryptozoological beasts, paranormal phenomena, and urban legends would be like...

This is one 2010 anime title that's worth watching. What really sets this apart from other 2010 anime titles I've seen so far, is the low amount of "fanservice". And that's good right there. That is what anime's suppose to be; enjoyable for the viewers by having a great story, character background/development, music and animation to carry out the series all the way to the end without relying on "fanservice".

It's okay to have a light amount of it, but too much of it will most likely kill it. Example for me: Highschool of the Dead

I was aware that it has ecchi content when I looked it up before I watched it. When I watched it, it had a lot more than I expected. I was about to drop it after watching a certain scene in Ep. 8 of it, but what kept me going was the storyline.

SPOILER - I wonder are Japanese men turned on when their women kick the shit out of them, because it seems to be a reacquiring theme in anime. This anime takes it to a whole other level, I've only seen two episodes and in the second Maya KICKS THE LIVING SHIT out of #6 in every scene they share, and he doesn't even seem to notice. Is it really that common place? Do Japanese men have no dignity at all?

@premolatino It's like the exact opposite in Japan. Not that men beat women up but women are in general much more submissive than they are in the west. They just do this sort of thing in anime for comic relief because it is completely ridiculous to them.

i hate this anime I hate the fact that Maya beats up Uchida so much .

1. It is completely sexist if roles were inversed Uchida was beating up Maya nobody would everybody would just be like "That is awful!"

2.The plot makes no sense Uchida and Maya team up for no reason why would Maya want to get involve with anything after she saw the picture of skulls.

3.If Uchida can go back in the past why not go back to the day the guy that founded the school was born to kill him

4.Why does Maya decide to be student especially when she says she wants to help Uchida would she not be more of a use to him if she was in control of the school and therefore ahd acess to all the files and therefore be more capable of finding the key.

The roles are not sexist, it's built around the idea that Maya is the masculine one and Abe is the feminine one.

Maya's reasons for getting involved with the occult and the Nostradamus prophecy are explained further in the series.

Abe was sent to stop the aliens, not the school.

IIRC 4 was explained.

She became principal because she was the daughter of the founder.

6 is a plot device.

There are several reasons that I love this anime:

1 - It's downright funny as heck.

2 - There are a lot of occult references and I've been into that stuff for a long time. It's interesting seeing the things I know about make cameos in an anime.

3 - Most importantly, The main character is a girl that can kick butt without a panty/cleavage flash every two seconds. IT PISSES ME OFF HOW THE GIRL IS EITHER USELESS OR USED FOR FAN SERVICE!
