I love how in only one minute, this movie can go from a crazy dream sequence with flying people to a heartwarming reunion between father and son. That's the magic of Chaplin, right there.
what a wonderful movie, i have ever watched in ma life time. now days all are shit. same of now a days movies even so called classics movies are big shit now
- the score you hear in this video (also on the video) did not exist at the time of the film playing in the theaters. Rather a band or piano accompanied with "generic" music. Chaplin wrote the score you hear in the video in the late 1960s.
- by 1921 the "standard" 16fps had increased to anywhere from 18-28fps. While it's "choppy" in places it's clear this wasn't filmed at 24fps but it certainly was not filmed at 16 fps as it's too "smooth" to have been filmed at that rate.
@shatallys they were filmed at a much lower frame-rate so when played back at todays standards, to make the images look smooth its seems as if they are moving fast
Greetings from Texas. Love Charlie Chaplin. Im Tory from Austin Texas singer songwriter musician actress. Check out my original song the The Little Tramp, my tribute to Charles Spencer Chaplin, performed in Houston at Fitzgeralds. ..TTT
@daisydooker Down Dufus... Neo socialist Chaplin did make movies about wealth disturbtion....(Just Steal It ) Like we have in the U.S now and for the last two years
@MikeFromTheUK1 This is a silent film. Films with synchronized dialogue sequences, also known as sound films or "talkies", weren't introduced into motion pictures until 1927.
With all the computer graphics, dolby sound effects, and the best film processing equipment, no movie from present times can compete with this simple film. It made me laugh and cry at the same time. It even without dialogues, it evoked such strong feelings that it left me amazed! Not to mention that I have watched this film a hundred times before. Charlie chaplin is the albert einstein of movies. I am entralled by his mastery. My words are not enough to describe the profoundness of his films.
THE MOVIE THAT REALLY CHANGE YOUR MOOD IN EVERY SECOND, SO WONDER FULL. THE REAL MOVIE TALK ABOUT STORIES........... WILL ALWAYS AND NEVER FORGETTABLE.
It's such a treat to see this masterpiece in clear and sharp HD. I can now appreciate how superb and gorgeous the cinematography was. This film brings emotionally rich experience as humanly as possible. How can you not like it.
I Love the moment when the kid is sick and the doctor left so charlie chaplin look right in the camra(the pepole) so i felt that i am in the movie and i want to help him and i cry from happinas when charlie chaplin catches the kid when the truk took him
Charlie Chaplin still remains one of the few who wrote, directed, starred, and as well as composed all the music in his films. Not to mention began United Artists (MGM).
i just saw this IN THEATRES. if you ever have a chance to see one of his masterpieces on the big screen, stop whatever you are doing and go. much love from Canada Charlie !!
This episode!! I loved this Charlie Chaplin when I was little, but on the same time whenever I watched this it made me scared and upset as a little kid (around 5), because I was away from my mother for a long time back then when a horrible relative took care of me for nearly a year while my mother was working. Anyways I loved this movie but on the same time I always feel upset watching it when i watched this.
i found a website that has better movies vidzero.com spread the love for movies :)

for the age of pieces
153 is the ending so 2153 could be the age of Aquarius
in the book of luke Christ makes an amazing prediction using instruction.
