I don't know much about FF7 but i do know that Cloud and Aerith didn't have that sort of relationship he had with Tifa. Aerith saw the side of him that was Zack so that is why she liked him because of her dedication to her deceased lover or something like that. Tifa actually loves Cloud for Cloud if you played the games then you'd know the difference between the type of love he had with each character both completely different.

Its not so much that Cloud doesn't love Tifa. He does, more than he could ever admit. But there is a lot of guilt because of how Aeris died. He can't move ahead until he settles that with himself, which he finally does at the end of Advent Children. Trust me, any more sequels would probably involve Tifa and Cloud as the primary pairing.... we know SE and their love of happy endings.

To be hoenst I fucking hate the love triangle. Aerith and Tifa were friends, Aerith had/has Zack, Tifa is hopelessly in love with Cloud and could never be anyone else. Plus Aerith is dead.
I think Aerith wants Tifa and Cloud to be together anyway, just like when she says 'I'm a little jealous but...' in the Maiden novella.
I feel that Aerith was more like an older sister to him...or maybe that's what I felt =p I think she loved Cloud in a way and there are plenty of ways to "love" someone and you can "love" more then one person.
I've also read that novel, she cared enough to have Tifa help Cloud in a way she couldn't.
Hey, Cloud also has feelings for Tifa. Don't sound it as Tifa's love is one-sided or what, please. :(

@pickylittlegirl Read the Maiden novella. Though, the story is no longer considered canon so Aerith didn't "officially" say it any longer. :)

CLOUD AND TIFA!!! Aeris loves Zack, Cloud reminds her of him. Evidence is clear in Crisis Core and FF7 when Tifa enters his memories.

Cloud is best with Tifa. I think Aerith is an idiot. She goes for Zack and then after he dies, she goes for his best friend Cloud. I'm glad she died.
