Still have my W550i since March 13, 2005 And now I got another one from a pawn shop. I lovethis phone cause It has everthing I need from a phone. I still like large memories + expansion options or a highr mega pixeled cam. But this is enough for me, I'm contented.

I've got it repaired 3 times due to a virus problem and once for the LCD replacement. It is still worth it. I will post it one day, watch for it.

Wayyyyy to difficult to explain how to do it on here, basically it needs the firmware re-flashing, thats what i did to mine and also once uve done that then u can add custon flash menus and change all the sound drivers and start-up menus etc, my W550i was totally pimped ^^ BTW this was the best phone ever in its day and the loudest phone ever made even still! LOVE THIS MOBILE!! :)

Damn thats a sexy looking phone. I know people already had it for like 3 years but I still want to get this phone more than the others. Only thing I dont like is the bulkyness, its so thick! No wonder you people can drop this phone and have it still work, its like a brick!

Haha yeah, i havent heard of the w900 when i wrote the comment, but i found about it a little while after, and i agree the w900 is awesome. I was actually about to buy it off ebay, but decided not to because if it does break down, i know its almost impossible to find a repair service because the phone is already discontinued, got the samsung u900 soul instead and its awesome

now my W550I sux i dont think it can last for more than 2 years unlike other phones ...

my phon broke 2 times

1 st the company fixed it for free ... and now i have to pay for damg i dont know what did it !!!!

1- screen is white

2- when i recharg it make noes

3- it cuts and charges and cuts every secand

i WAS a fan of sonyericson but now ...i am going to buy something elss !

My w550i was the best phone I have ever had, it has never broken - after 3 years. Even after being dropped on concrete and tarmac several times. The only damage it has ever got is quite a few scratches (but NOT on the screen). It is starting to come to the end of it's life now (but 3 years is the longest any of my phones has survived). I have loved it a lot and don't wish to give it up until the very end (when it finally dies)!

i love this phone but sadly mine is in a critical condition, very strong phone but, i got two new dogs and one of them got hold of it and the phone but up a big fight, it still works but the hole front panel has fallen off and a few buttons don't work but the buttons are to do with a dodgy firmware i recently uploaded, i have ordered a sony ericsson w580, hopefully that is just as good as the w550 is a classic xD
