Jumping Jack Flash is one of Thelma's best songs ever along with 96 Tears, Black California, and I'm Here Again. She looks great with her Afro hairdo and dress.
With a strap right across my back. Are you kidding me girl? Unbelievable and as good as it gets. In 1984 Jagger said Thelma's version was the one to work off of. Sorry to say, Aretha is number 2 here.
@LeshaAnn- Sorry, but how UNbelievably ignorant of you to say that! Why "odd"? It was the fashion of the time, you fool! GREATversion of the Rolling StonesCLASSIC tho,eh?
Georgie Fame - he performed at my college in the 1970s, and didn't even play The Ballad of Bonnie and Clyde". I won a a pair of tickets to see him in the 80s, and only my wife's optimistic hope of each next song being half decent, kept me from walking out early. He's still going strong, according to wikipedia. I think The Price of Fame was a short-lived music programme, which he co-hosted with friend, and ex member of The Animals, Alan Price. Am I right?
Sunshower has just been reissued (June 2010) on CD in the UK with 6 (!) bonus tracks. The cover flash claims "The Complete Dunhill Recordings". Go get 'em, Thelma fans!!!
Wouldn't you know.,video footage of one of the best pop LPs of all time(just ask Paul Schaffer from Letterman's show).and it's the lone cover track(the rest of the LP is pure Webb),and is the weakest track on the album. So if you like this, imagine how great the rest of it sounds. The studio versions feature those great LA studio musicians that Webb used for the Fifth Dimension's "Magic Garden". Universal won't even bring this out for US release under their limited edition Hip-O Select label.

Do you think the back-up dancers on the far left had some sort of ideological objection to miniskirts? It looks odd...

Would someone please post Thelma's song: "Sunshower" from her album of the same name. It's one of Jimmy Webb's best songs / arrangements.
It's a wonderful poetic song.
"When the summer lies like a lazy dog
and the sun is rise'n like a fine-feathered
fog..."

Would someone please post Thelma Houston's song,"Sunshower". It's such a beautiful song and I can't find it anywhere.
It's from her "Sunshower" album.

I hate that the sunshower album didn't bring Thelma into stardom. It would be almost a decade before she would hit it big.
