what these videos fail to show is when the upper level collapsed , not just a piece fell at an angle to the one below...........great sections crashed straight down on top of the commuters on the bottom level......;( pancaking anyone that was there. can you imagine........the sounds I heard on the news and the visuals that i saw (just to the siide of the cameras view, which they avoided purposefully) drove nightmares in me for days. horrific , terrifying and powerful.

I was 13 years old when this Quake struck and i was in Oakland, Ca and it hit very hard out here. One of the freeways in west oakland collasped and crushed alot of people in there cars and it took days to get them out and some did survive. Now they have build apt over there but part of the freeway is still up and after all these years you would think it would be torn down by now. WELL THATS SLOW ASS CALIFORNIA
