  • better days for sure....

  • arodynamic my foot!!

  • Not many Metro's made it to 10,000 miles let alone 12,000 miles lol :D

  • I own a 1986 metro it definately wasnt as refined as other cars in its class at that time but its still going strong and the bodywork is still good, but it does have alot of character and puts a smile on peoples faces when they see it

  • the other thing about these cars was you could pinch them with nothing but your bare hands and your front door key lol and they wondered why car crime went though the roof

  • the 1980-1990 Austin Metro was assembled in

    Longbridge, Birmingham, England

  • the original mini was so much better =P

  • How can it be when they shared the same engine-gearbox. It made BL more money than the bloody mini ever did.

  • @p43500 ummm have you looked at the body? you know, the bit that the engine and gearbox sit in? jesus, the classic mini has so much more character, the classic styling is awesome and the wannabe future update metro is an ugly box. not to mention the mini sold from 1959 right through to 2000 and the metro lasted a measly 17 years from 1980 to 1997 in comparison

  • more like a death for the crash ahead

  • @Spac8. Sorry got your name wrong on previous! I was saying... Yes you're right, I think the temp guage should be showing under halfway you'd have thought Austin would have got onto that at the time!

  • @Space8. Yes you're right, you'd think Austin would have got onto that at the time!

  • I love it how if you pause it when it's on the speedo shot, the temp needle is above half. Haah :P
