Just look at the rankings, there are at least 5 fighters in the top ten of every weight class from the ufc, and each is topped by a ufc fighter except hw. He holds 5 major MMA title belts. Also, more tournament wins than I can type in this response. Notably, he has the WAMMA (World Alliance of Mixed Martial Arts) belt, he was the Pride HW and also a Rings HW Champion.
He also competes in Sambo matches as well as Ring. My point is, he's been all over the world displaying his skill against fighters from all countries. UFC tends to get more exciting fighters rather then highly technical fighters that could easily beat a pure striker. Look at Brock Lesnar or Kimbo Slice. Neither have MMA training but will bring a fan base and that is all the UFC is about. Money is important, but what is the point of watching if it just waters down the sport?

He couldn't easily defeat Cro Cop or Nogeuira. Beating Tim Silvia isn't even mentionable, because you could probably line up Light Heavyweights or Middleweights who would take him to the ground and wreck his shit.

I'm not going to take that away from him, but he also got whooped by Randleman in their first bout, didn't really do a whole lot to Big Nog, and couldn't finish Cheick Kongo of all people. He's got good wins, but at the same time the bouts that skeptics like me consider "tests" of a fighter, he's come up a bit short.
He, like Arlovski, is very talented, but I don't think he'll ever have that push to be a big champ in the future.
To be honest about Fedor, I don't think he's truly been tested yet in the ring or the Octagon. He's fantastic, yes. On the other hand, the only person I can think of that is another MMA legend he's beaten is Nog. Awesome fights, but one guy?

Fedor fights anyone at any size, even if most the HW's he fights have an extra 30lbs on him. & that to me makes him the best p4p fighter in the world. Til Fedor beats, some of the best in MMA, he cant call himself the best. Like Nolan Ryan in his prime pitching in AAA, and never loosing a game. He can strike all them out, but til he goes big time, and faces the best, not really an achievement.

Just look at the rankings, there are at least 5 fighters in the top ten of every weight class from the ufc, and each is topped by a ufc fighter except hw. That is rich. You pretty much made my point. The UFC has a lot of great fighters, but they are not the home of all the best, and you do not need to sign a UFC contract to become the best. Fedor is the HW of the World, he's competed in numerous fight organizations, not just one.
He holds 5 major MMA title belts. Also, more tournament wins than I can type in this response. Notably, he has the WAMMA (World Alliance of Mixed Martial Arts) belt, he was the Pride HW and also a Rings HW Champion.

He also competes in Sambo matches as well as Ring. My point is, he's been all over the world displaying his skill against fighters from all countries. UFC tends to get more exciting fighters rather then highly technical fighters that could easily beat a pure striker. Look at Brock Lesnar or Kimbo Slice. Neither have MMA training but will bring a fan base and that is all the UFC is about. Money is important, but what is the point of watching if it just waters down the sport?

Randleman is terrible, Lindland is a middleweight, hunt has a losing record, coleman is old and really not that good, fujita loses whenever he fights someone worth while, and the rest of his list are nobodies. Fine, I'll follow your argument then. Lesnar isn't a great fighter, he is a great athlete that shouldn't even have had the opportunity to fight for the belt. Lesnar went the distance with Heath Herring and couldn't finish him, something Fedor did in the 1st round. Couture is 45 years old and only people who follow the UFC hype machine think he is still a top heavyweight. The only UFC fighter that would really stand a chance against Fedor is Mir. BTW, most the best heavies aren't in the UFC.

Well he beat Mir now, but he is still an amateur. Also Mir is a small heavyweight who is basically only a submission fighter. He's got good wins, but at the same time the bouts that skeptics like me consider "tests" of a fighter, he's come up a bit short.
He, like Arlovski, is very talented, but I don't think he'll ever have that push to be a big champ in the future.

To be honest about Fedor, I don't think he's truly been tested yet in the ring or the Octagon. He's fantastic, yes. On the other hand, the only person I can think of that is another MMA legend he's beaten is Nog. Awesome fights, but one guy?
He's got no parallel wins to someone like Mir, Couture, Lesnar, etc. He's beaten low-level heavyweights, but I don't know if he would beat Lesnar, because you can't really train for him.
