I'm running a 3600 Stall 3.73 gears. G5x3 on a 114 LSA
I've got a stuck lifter/valve spring, and figured I'd replace most of the drivetrain while my motors torn apart. I've got all the appropriate bolt-ons (fast 90/90) LT's, True Duals.
@jbg5200 just the usual. You will require dual valve springs to accomodate the high lift. you have to get pushrods, retainers, valve locks seals etc. best to get the best equipment and with a cam with that much lift, I would fit a set of yella terra roller rockers to lighten up the valvetrain so it spins easier. anything else, let me know,
really? is that 450 with cam only or with the usual supporting mods (intake, long tubes, mids & catback)+ the cam? Asking cuz a friend of mine made low 490's with a custom cam and supporting mods. =)

I knew a guy who put a 400PMD in a 68 Camaro, he was raged on so badly by very angry Chevy guys to took it out and sold the engine. & thats just one instance I know of.
It seems the hobby is fine with SBC in everything but not the other way around.
Another one was a Vette, & as you know how most Vette owners act, it got keyed after winning a race with another Vette!
I test drove the GXP auto Solstice, i'm 6'4" it was a tight fit, however it was a very nice car.
I took it out on I79 and nailed it with the traction control off, it was last spring & about 38 out & the top was off.
I really could see this car kicking ass with some mods, not as far as drags but Rally like races this car would be nice. It has a cool digital boost gauge, stops fast, looks cool and good MPG I have no idea why it was discontinued.
Now that's a cam ! WooHooooooooooooo

You do know this is one of the best cams in the world for max power for ls engines? With cam only in an ls3 this makes about 450rwhp!

Had a 73 vega gt I put a 302 Ford engine in ; the bowtie boys went nuts ! fit better than a sbc ! gm corporate GTO not a true gto ; pmd !

This car is an import, it was designed & built by Holden then REBAGED changed to US DOT then shipped to America.
More then half the cars dont include the word "Pontiac" on the car, Car & Driver reported that Holden was upset it was being sold as an American car.
That would be like Chevy rebadging a vette for sale in another nation!
It's a Chevy powered import, built by a non GM owned car maker overseas.
It's not the American Legend made & powered by PMD!

Actually Holden IS owned by GM. The LS2 IS a GM engine. Not raggin on the Aussies they did a hell of a job with the goat.

Back in 04 I wrote to Pontiac about Holden, & they told me that GM owned a "Majority Stock" in Holden but did not "own" it.
I lost the letter so I wrote them again last month, and the reply was almost a carbon copy of the first one I got.
GM does not own lock stock and barrel in Holden, the do have control over Holden but do not fully own it.
They did a great job with this car however no Rebaged Holden with a Chevy engine is a PMD GTO.
Even if GM fully owned Holden!
