André Rieu uses little conventional music resources, makes a lot of theatrics... but here it's so appropriate that his bet is won: I may hurt some operagoers or professional musicians, but Mirusia makes all the divas I loved so far in Porgi Amor (Stader, Janowitz, Kanawa, Studer, Popp, Fleming - even Schwarzkopf!) suddenly look cold, or mannered... No countess loves her "tesoro" so dearly! No countess wants "morir" so badly! No countess breaks hearts like this...

And to think I've been missing beautiful music like this until 6 month ago. I am so proud being an Australian. Mirusia and Carmen are my favourites and I love the way these two commit themselves to the songs. Andre' has the magic touch when it comes to picking gorgeous singers.
As others have noted, an authentic angelic-lyric voice, in the tradition of Elisabeth Grümmer, Gundula Janowitz, Kathleen Battle, Yumiko Samejima, and Genia Kühmeier.
There is no better vocal type for this music. We need more of these in the world. I think she is one of only two currently singing.
A truly angelic voice and very dramatic. A great great performance with a beautiful voice - rendition! She made Mozart proud of his work of excellence!!!!!!
