  • wow wow wow.....

  • Is there a place where someone could buy or download this song?

  • I am confused, is this considered punk??

  • d.h. and patti smith both wore ties around this time. not sure which was first :) but no it hardly would be avril :)= besides... d.h. and patti are *musicians* :)

  • OMFG! Not seen this before. Me just about to sell my Blondie fan club mags on ebay. Got them in 1977, put them away and just got them out!

  • I SAY 100 THUMBS UP MAN!..... Debbie Harry forever!

  • She is Awesome man

  • She's 30 years old here with no make-up on but she looks about 19yrs old!

  • she is always wonderful. I love her.

  • is it an original or cover, as a blondie fanatic never knew about this. great song, thanks for posting

  • Still in rock'n roll attitude !

  • The girl wearing a tie thing wasn't that Diane Keaton in Annie Hall or Patty Smith? I get confused. But yes Debbie was one of the 1st also. Sorry Avril wasn't even born around then. LOL!

  • Wow! Reality Grinds.

  • is there any way i can get this on record or mp3 or anywere i love this

  • that bad ass bitch is rock n' roll and always will be.

  • where is this from? she could sing rock and roll natural the way most people speak. it just comes out of her mouth. not like michelle pfeiffer,at all. debby has all beautiful features on her face, michelle has none. a porn actress, kandi barbour reminded me of debby

  • @hellonyhello You don't like Debbie being compared to someone like Michelle Pfeiffer but you do think it's ok to compare her to some nasty cumdumpster porn star to whom she bears NO similarity, by the way?

  • Better as an instrumental.

  • Woah, I was watching this and Debbie kinda looks like Kelly Ripa in this video, something about her face here. Debbie's way prettier though.. its just this vid.

  • where can you find lyrics for this song? shame this wasn't a single at some stage, might have given 'Hunter' a much needed jolt

  • Debbie, Chris, Clem, Jimmy and Gary ... Punk, Pop, and Rock owes you guys big time ...

  • I wasn't a big fan of Blondie's music.

But I love Debbie's vibe. Easy going looker of gal. And yes, the tie/girl thing happened decades before.

  • PROOF! Stupid ass Avirl didn't wear a tie first! Debbie Did...so people should stop saying that Avirl "invented" the whole girl wearing a tie thing!

  • @ChloePuffz What about Pattie Smith? To be fair, non musically, Marlene Dietrich was making a habit of wearing mens' suits in 1930 and before her there was an entire underground of Harlem vaudevillians and renaissance women wearing tuxedos and tails in the 20s. ^__^

  • @princesstamika *Patti Smith, not Pattie.

  • @ChloePuffz People say that?

  • @ChloePuffz YES I AGREE, this is proof! people always say; 'avril has the guds to wear a tie, and she did it first' ... people; NO! blondie is the orginal!

  • @ChloePuffz so did the dead boys

  • @ChloePuffz

Women wore ties all the time in the 70s, and not just punks. Diane Keaton wore them frequently in Woody Allen's films, both in "Play it again, Sam" (1972) and the mega-hit "Annie Hall" (best picture 77). it's hardly unique to Miss I-can't-sing-worth-shit Lavigne, or even all that uncommon. Women wearing accesories or articles of men's clothing has also always been very wide-spread in cabaret entertainment, particularly in germany, England, and the US, since the 20s.

  • @ChloePuffz I don't think anyone is, besides, who cares besides a bunch of pretentious a-hole Internet people who Debbie wouldn't even like anyway?

  • It`s Debbie in this video alright ! I have seen at least three copys before this not that rare and is it CB-BG`s ? ? look up a video on Springsteen the song is titled new man in town this might give a idea where this was shot at ....

  • niezla byla z niej sunia...

  • This is a cover of a song by The Miamis. It sure sounds a hell of a lot like "Little Girl Lies"!

  • Hmm, I don't reckon it sounds anything like 'little girl lies' at all ...

yes it is in the same style and range but the melodies are worlds apart

  • Anyone know if there's any more videos from this show?

I know they also played Femme Fatale, Platinum Blonde, little girl lies... Would love to see a video of it and not only the audio.

  • Does anyone know whether Blondie actually recorded this song or where it mught be available to buy?

  • Sadly, it would seem not. :(

  • joanna lumley???? jerry you need your eyes tested... shes hot to trot and lumley; well shes an absolute NOT!!

  • how old was she then?

  • she was 30

  • she was 33 - my parents saw her.

  • no, she was 30. she was born in 1945 and this video is from 1975.

  • she was 30! born in 1945....this was shot in 1975....do the maths!

  • debbie harry is amazing. i love blondie.

  • Unbelievable video, where did this came from

    Heaven ?

  • I love this early Blondie!!!

  • She could be Michelle Pfeiffer's sister, they look so much alike.

    xx

  • always thought that michelle should play her in a film, she looks nearly as good as debbie. great early clip :)

  • sophie dahl i think...no one comes close though

  • michelle pfeiffer??? omg yeh ive always thought from certain angles they look kinda similar!

  • I was just thinking that last night when I was reading THE PUNK ROCK BOOK OF LISTS.

  • When I saw this , I saw the resembalance. Was checking Debbie's imdb and it says she wanted Michelle to play the biopic of her. Also states Michelle(in her unknown 20's) also said she was mistaken for Debbie alot on the street.. So they know about the resemblance and joke about it.:)

  • OMG> I thought the same thing.lol

Debbie is adopted after all. Maybe she is her sister:) As forJoanna Lumley. I can see a resemblace from the 70's Avengers show:

  • @xXPinkGoddessXx it could be, she is adopted

  • If I had a Million pound I would give it for one night with youxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Holy cow she looks like Cathrine Denuve!

  • My God! She looks like Joanna Lumely (sp?) from Ab Fab!

This is great. Thanks for posting.

  • love her always

  • awesome.....and the guitar solo shreds too!!!! excellent.......debbie's a goddess!

  • It is amazing to think that 32 years later, Debbie is still recording, touring, writing and singing. Not for the money but because she loves it.

A true artist, a true legend. Forever sexy Forever beautiful. No one can touch her.

  • I fucking remember CBGB's when it was funky, fucked up and the restrooms were UNIsex and no holes barred!

Debbie ROCKED & had the best looks / voice in R & R bar none!!!!

  • Oh my god, that was fantastic! What a treat. Thank you so much. Blondie rules!

  • Debbie was saying how when she would be interviewed for radio they would be scared of her upon hearing romours she sang punk music. And boy could she sing punk music. A versatile voice that switch from lullabys roaring rock 'n' roll at the snap of a finger. Back then they Didn't have Avril, they had Debbie.

  • she actually looks much younger in her later videos...guess this must have been post Playboy bunny days...

  • Coolest woman alive! Effortlessly cool and sexy!

  • Great song! I wish it had been released. So catchy, and Debbie is strikingly beautiful. Those cheekbones! And, of course, that massive 'tude.

  • she was the first one wearing a tie not avril lavigne...

  • A natural. Captivatingly cool!

  • Wow! I loved it..and Debbie looks great.

  • Awesome quality! Thanks!
