  • Thank you thank you! I like your tutorials. I will have to download them all so I have a library of templates when I plan. I do have a question though. I have peel and stick lights, and a few street lights wired up to a terminal strip and ran around a buss. I keep blowing transformers though. I have blown two already. Any suggestions as to why it keeps blowing my transformers?

  • @Clocksangel Sounds like the transformers are not powerful enough

  • My layout is DC at the mo, and i won't be converting to DCC enytime soon because I need to raise money, where can I connect the wires to get power from? I've subbed as it's a great video like all of your vids :)

  • @ModelsandGamesguy Most good DC controllers have a fixed 12v connector on the back. You could run the wires from these.

  • hi if you connected up say 10 together and then attached the pos and ned wires to a track power clip and insered it would they then get the power they need or to much and blow them p.s could u use a slow blinking LED

  • @DJROBVSFATBOI You could use a blinking LED if you wanted to. 10 Connected together should be fine without a resistor on 12V.

  • again brilliant! and simple... the layout i am building is of an older era but the skills are still applicable...

  • to get the bulb to light up do you just connect the two wiers to the rails so the electric lights the bulb

  • @toffie702 I attach the 2 wires to the bus wires under the layout

  • @EverardJunction sorry about that i comented before acully watching it as i couldnt watch it when my dad was watching tv , thanks alot the vid helped a lot

  • does it matter which way the resistore goes round when soldering

  • @HarrisonSuper Nope

  • Excellent demo. Perfect. Some tips for your viewers:1) Frys Flux can be bought at Plumbers Merchants. You get a big tub for your money! 2) Use a modelling paint brush to apply flux - it's just a tad easier.3) The resistor doesn't need to be wired directly to the LED +ve leg. You can wire the LED and then place the resistor below the baseboard, or at the 'control panel' 4) to keep your iron tip shiny clean, search out a pack of stainless pan scrubbers at hardware stores-6 for a £1. Good Luck. Bob

  • Nice job and you made it look simple

  • brilliant love the idea. 5*

  • God I wish I lived next door........ First class demo could you mail details of the roster ? I'm going to pop to marlins next week Thanks

  • Cool

Everardjunction could you have a look at my videos. I am new so only have two.

    Thanks Stanier8F

  • Awesome video mate one question can it still work if it used with batteries instead ???

  • @theLEGOcommander1 Thanks, batteries should work fine

  • @EverardJunction Ok thanks i will have to try and make one :)

  • hi i was just wondering how do you make the cement like surface were you place the buffer stops like your video 5* tthank you for your response =)

  • @olid5 It's polyfilla poured in and smoothed down, a wood mound around the edge keeps it straight

  • I like to paint the supports a metallic colour with mine.

  • love the video 5***** here is a video of my hornby hydraulic buffers after upgrade

  • @HIGHSPEED125 thanks

  • What does it connect to

  • @Mallard971 Under the baseboard I have installed bus wires, these supply power to them.

  • mega good 10* ill give ya and at the end they look like devils eyes lol very scary if some new person walked in to see your layout and they see devils eyes poking everywhere lol goood vid tho teaches me alot now im off to do one lol

  • @mongoosekid14 Thanks

  • Looking back at previous video how do you do your white line marking on the roads to get such a neat finish ?

  • @REGWARNE12 I use good quality masking tape

  • 5*s that is what i will be doing on my mainline

  • they do make quite a difference, i agree. You said in the layout update that you would show us how to fit lights to your new shed, will that be next?

  • @eanat11 I will be doing a vid on that, I'm finishing the painting on it at the moment.

  • @EverardJunction okie dokie

  • Thanks to your simplified explanation it gives confidence to people like me , keep it up and anything to do with foam board or plasticard would be really handy !!!

  • @REGWARNE12 Thanks, ill bear that in mind.

  • nice thx

  • How do you power them ?

  • @realsteam123 I use my old gaugemaster controller which has a fixed 12v output socket.

  • more complicated than i thought :P great vid

  • @alexamltd There are quite a few stages, but once you get the hang of it you can make one in about 10 mins

  • good video mate!

  • @bloodmarine77 Thanks

  • nice, very good idea

  • @itgamer100 Thanks

  • good video.

  • @ipodwindow Cheer mate

  • nice i might do that are the lights easy to turn off?

  • @MrJezza31 If you wire in a switch then yes, mine are permanently on at the moment.
