  • They call it heavy cream because it is a fatter cream than the normal - hence the therm 'heavy'.

  • I tried the recipe and it's a big hit at the party. It's easy to prepare and I made it one day ahead. YUMMMM!!

  • Can you substitute fruit pectin for the gelatin? If not, what is a suitable substitute for the gelatin? My daughter is a "vegetarian" and won't eat gelatin because it is a meat byproduct.

  • you can use a vegetarian gelatin called agar agar, which is seaweed.

    you can get it at an asian store for a buck fifty maybe even less.
