Shrek 1 was a beautiful and groundbreaking animation, from memory the second was a disappointment but once i had gotten over my puritan dislike of the second the third and fourth were quite fun. All worth it for the first and parts of the fourth imo.

@gameaddict51 The third completly lost its charm, it was clear that they had just wanted to get a script out as fast as possible when we were shown the completly wasted king arthur storyline, they literally just went to get him, without anything exciting happening. They bring him back, and this is where you assume the film will kick off, instead they just rush in the big finale, if it's even worth being a finale. As for Shrek 4, well...it dosn't take a genius to figure out why that was bad...

And one other thing: they didn't have a sing-a-long at the end! That was all that I saw wrong with the movie.
