@NirinaGasikara WoW! really. i never thought that Cambodians nor Vietnamese were part of the Austronesian race. Very interesting. I thought that the Vietnamese were closer to the Chinese and that the Cambodians were more Khmer group. I haven't read that Austronesians and Austroasiatics had links as well. I have to do more research as this is very interesting to me. you must of study this quite a bit. You have a profound knowledge of your heritage. I applaud you!!!!! : )
Have you done studies on/understand the principles of genetic variation/diversity? If you can understand that genetic mutation + isolation can affect genetic variation, you should be able to understand that all genetic variations have shared genetic roots, it is only a matter of when, how recent or how far in the past...or are you waiting for a "mainstreamer" scientist to do the thinking for you? Culture and language doesn't have a clear record of indication, DNA does.
@NirinaGasikara Austronesians are also found in the deep south of Thailand where the Muslims reside. I never read that Austronesians were found in Cambodia or Vietnam so what you are writing is interesting. Because there language is of the Mon-Khmer of the Asiatic.
@NirinaGasikara are you from Taiwan? Just curious where you are from. I have been reading your post and you really have a lot of knowledge about anthropology.
@NirinaGasikara Siberians are connected to the American Indians and the Eskimos. As well as the Mexicans. They have not connection what so ever to the Austronesians but the Siberians are Asians.
Excuse me if I insinuated what prompted your responses. Amerindians don't have RECENT Y-DNA links with Austronesians (there is an archaic paternal genetic link), but Amerindians are indeed Asiatic in origin, they weren't in Siberia forever, even they migrated there. Its all a matter of counting the "genetic hops" back to the shared paternal ancestor. It's just that the two lineages did not have much to little to no contact at all for an extremely long duration.
I really love how some of the indigenous people of Taiwan sing from the gut; very rich, soulful and moving singing. How they sing in unison taps deep down into spirit....
I really like how amongst many different indigenous people, the languages may be different but, the quintessential elements remain the same!
For instance, listen to the music of indigenous people from the Americas, you will hear familiar elements, this is not by chance or "coincidence".
are taiwanese aborigines known as moutain people?

My children are very interested in the indegenous culture of different tribes in Taiwan. I'm hoping to show them more of
Taiwan when we visit next time. Thanks for the video.
